Nice arena in Wingham (the new one at the south end of town). My DD had a couple of hockey games there this past season. But I digress...

Haven't stayed at the Crowne Plaza, but we are trying the Marriott Fairfield Inn on Merriman in June. $99/night including 8 days of parking at the Qwik Park immediately next door. Additional days at Qwik Park are $9. The Fairfield has received decent reviews on the sticky thread at the top of the board. With two nights and 10 days additional parking, you might be able to do it at the Marriott for under $300 + taxes.

Whatever you do, avoid the Howard Johnson on Merriman. It has gotten progressively worse each time we've stayed there. Never again!

I'll be able to give a better review of the Marriott once we're back.

Mike, Yep we do love our new arena. My 2 DD's age 16 Midgets play out of Wingham. How old is your DD and what town does she play for....she may have played us?

Thanks for info re hotels ,..pls let me know what you thought of Fairfield...we are leaning towards it too...just drive right to hotel and stay put.

Our DD is also 16 (b'day next month) and she played goal for the London Midget A team this season. (She played MAA last season but was not selected for the team again this past year - long story ). I had a look at one of the Saugeen games from when we played this season and I don't see any duplicate surnames so I'm guessing your girls played MAA.
