Air Tran Flights ... checking time changes

Hello ... I was reading on the transportation boards about Air Tran being notorious for changing flights. Anyone else have this problem? I checked my flights and from what I see my return flight is now two hours earlier Instead of 10:45 am, it is now 8:45 am. That means an early airport arrival.

Now if I hadn't checked this, how would I have known??? No email or anything was sent to me. Would I have just been out of luck? What if they change it while we are down there? I read on the other boards that some have had them change 5 or 6 times ... my goodness ... I am a planner and this will drive me crazy!!!!!

p.s. Anyone know how to check for actual confirmation of flight times? I went in as though I was booking flights at that time and that is how I discovered the change. Is there an easier way?

Sorry to hear of your schedule change. If you really don't like the early morning departure, you could ask to be switched to another flight. Sometimes people manage to go from connecting flights to direct flights because AirTran changed the times from their original bookings. Not sure I'd want to make the change from nonstop to connecting, although it might be easier to change planes in ATL than to get to the airport early in the morning.

As for checking for schedule changes, on the AirTran website on the right hand side of the screen, look for "find itinerary" under Quick Links. You can then type in your confirmation number, and it will pull up your confirmed booking, with the up to date travel times.

Hi....I just checked our flights for March and it's the same for us.
Our return flight was supposed to leave orlando at 1045am and is now leaving at 840am.......crap!!!!
I thought that 1045 was early enough ....ME is just crazy for getting you to MCO so early.....now it's going to be awful trying to get to the MCO airport for an 840 flight.....that is going to mean leaving POR at like 5ish......nightmare.
I also didn't get an email or any notice. Our flight leaving buffalo has only changed by about 10 minutes.....but that will probably change too.

I had no idea Air Tran was notable for this......

I think they will send out emails closer to the flight date. I know last year I only started gettting emails regarding changes about a month before the flight, even though the flight had changed prior.

I too am hoping that the 8:45 return flight will change to a little later.

Are we on the same flight ?? We all seem to have been bumped from 10:45 to 8:45. This is the flight home on the 17th of March. I'm not happy about it, but I do not want to do a connecting flight at all. It takes longer to fly this way and I would be too stressed about it!!

I guess I will keep watching it and hope it goes later and not any earlier!! Imagine if it changes to an earlier time??? The original time was perfect as it gave us time to get up and get ourselves there comfortably. We will have to leave our rental by 6ish if it stays the same.

I didn't know they were notorious for this either until I began reading about it on the Transportation boards. Arranging the car rental is also a pain as we may have to change our arrival or departure times, which can affect cost or availability especially at the last minute!!

I flew ATA 2 years ago and my connection was changed and they never notified me.
