I cannot for the life of me figure out why ANYONE would buy airline stock.
Now, I think that AirTran is going to have some "bumpy" moments. But thier route structure is somewhat better a lot of the 'low cost' airlines. Having ATL as a hub helps them. They can raise fares right along with DL.
However, I would not be surprised to see ANY of them cut routes that aren't making money, cut flights etc. As a matter of fact I think that cutting flights is step one to making money. Reduce supply, and raise prices....
