Air Tran $25 Coupon

Just wanted to make sure this was posted here as well - saw it on the Transportation board. Click website to get $25 off Air Tran flight - book by OCt 31, travel by Dec 18 (dates from memory - double check them if using). Apparently you can get multiple codes to book one-ways and use the coupon each way, also it's 1 per person, so each person can use a coupon. Hoping they extend as we are flying in January. It would make it a great deal for us - $62 less $25 for total of $37 each way - incredible!!

A little confused... so if I put in 2 e-mails I would get 2 different codes and then be able to use each code for 2 separate transaction of 4 people i.e. saving 100 each way based on 4 people.. that would be great!

Thanks for the info this would be great. I have a couple of questions though. Have you flown Airtran before? How are they to use? We usually fly spirit but they are rather pricey right now. Do you fly from Detroit or Buffalo? We need to do non stop flights due to the kids being young...not willing to do stop over in atlanta with them at this point. I think we are going around the same time as you in January (ticker countdown is similar) The thing we have been concerned with the most is paying for seat assignments and this would definitely cover that!

I got the coupon about 2 weeks AFTER I booked my flights. Bummer.

OK, so to all those who asked questions - I am not 100% sure of the answers so will not guess....BUT.....I believe I have read similar questions (with correct answers LOL) on the Transportation board. If not, apparently this coupon originated on the Budget board. So, please take a peek at the Transportation board first, and then if you still have a question they will likely be able to answer there or if not, maybe the Budget Board thread. I am pretty sure that it seemed pretty flexible to use the coupon, and possibly have it applied after the fact.


And, get this, I just tried to book my flight (which is WAY past the date - leaving end of January) and it appeared to have accepted the coupon!!!!! I did not complete the transaction yet, but am going back to the site to get more coupons just in case!!!!!

It appears to be 1 code per person?? But then I have read about people booking 1 way flights to enable use of the code twice. So, bottom line I am not sure (sorry!). I am going to go back and read the other thread again to see if I can get more details.

I actually booked direct with Airtran in Feb but tonight looking at the seats left decided I better pay for seat selection and succesfully applied coupon to that.

I just got home from Mickey land today. We had a great trip and the weather was perfect.

Anyway....I tried to use a coupon to pay for my checked bag going out of BUF to MCO and the agent had no idea what to do with it and since they we in a rush to close a flight I paid for the bag and she promised to get a supervisor to try and credit me back. I have no idea if that happened. I guess I will see when I get my CC statement.

Coming home today they did accept the coupon at MCO. The agent first said no and then I told him that CS said I could have it applied to the baggage fee. He said he could try to see if the system would accept it as payment.....which it did.
