I know I get air sick as well as sea sick. I think my youngest will be fine, but I can just see my oldest getting totally sick on the flight. Is there anything you can give a 2 year old to prevent this? :confused3

You can buy Children's Dramamine liquid, and I've used it successfully for a child that age. Lots of stores do not normally carry it, though, you have to ask the pharmacist to order it, which generally takes a couple of days from the warehouse.

If you want your chhild(ren) to sleep, use Dramamine. If you do not want them to sleep, or you need a nausea-stopper before park rides like roller coasters or motion-type rides, then use Bonine.

Bonine is not real hard to fine, but it is not as wide-spread as Dramamine. Bonine I believe you can find at places like CVS Drugs and Walgreens, but once in a while I find it at Wal-Mart as well.

:thumbsup2

I agree that Bonine (meclizine) is more effective and less sedating, but unfortunately, it is not approved for use in children under age 12. For kids, Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) is the only FDA approved med for motion sickness.

We have used Bonine in our children since they were three. No ill affects and I am not too concerned about the lack of FDA approval. It's a great product. :thumbsup2
