Go online airmilesshop.ca go to Disneystore.com and buy Disney gift cards to put towards the payment of the trip, pay for gift cards with TD travel credit card.

Earn airmiles to pay for car rental or passes for Disney.
Earn TD travel rewards to put towards trip.
Get gift cards for Disney.

Sound like a good deal?
Have you "worked" your reward cards like this or maybe have a better suggestion to shop smarter to help my family get to Disney?

Sweet deal! That's what I've been looking for! It's as close as we Canadians can get to the deals they have at various supermarkets in the States (some people can get $100+ in free gas by buying Disney gift cards in the US)

I'm going to check this out and maybe pick some up to pay for our DVC dues

I'm not positive but it looks like the gift cards can only be shipped to the US not to Canada. You could always ship the gift card to the hotel. Also can you pay for annual dues with a gift card?

Yes you can pay DVC with a gift card, but like you said, it doesn't look like the gift cards can be shipped to Canada

I think I'm going to look around for the generic Visa gift cards to try to find someplace that gives the best perks for buying them.

I order from Disney.com all the time and it lets me select gift cards and ship to Canada - with no shipping charges. I get all the way to the 'complete order' screen. One more click and I will have to buy them.

But it does tell me....

"There are no shipping modes available for the selected address. Please select another address."


Hmmm. I have heard that you can call customer service and have them shipped here, but I have never tried it.

I like the idea of having it shipped to the hotel. Luckily for me I live in a boarder city mmmm..... maybe i will open a new business buying and sending Disney gift cards. (Joke) It takes me 45 minutes to get to the Disney Outlet. Just sayin'

Disney gift cards can't be used in Canadian disney stores. I think that's the reason. I won a contest by putting in a ballot at our disney store a few years ago and the prize was a gift card... it couldn't be used in the disney store though. Only at Disney's online store or in the US. As it was, we were going to Disney in a few months so I saved it to use then. I expect that's why they won't send them here. Can't use them here in store and to use them online, they have outrageous shipping costs to Canada.
