We live in Marlton and are wondering the experience of flying out of atlantic city using spirit vs. flying out of phila using us air. We're leaving on 8/3 and returning 8/16.

Too early to book with either but been playing with the web sites and trying to learn the most effective way of doing this.

Used the Auto Train the last 4 years.....need a break from that experience.

Thanks for the help!

Hi,
We always fly Spirit Air out of Atlantic City. The airport is small and we have never had any delay or cancellation problems with Spirit because they are the only commercial airline that flies out of AC International at their departure time. Because of this, we do not have to arrive at the airport 3 hrs. prior to our flight. We arrived 1 1/2 hr. early and our check-ins have been very smooth and quick. Spirit is a very "no frills" airline. The planes are older. Their prices are excellent, especially when you book early. We just recently got a fare of $64 plus tax and fees each way.
Hope this helps! :o)

Peterpam is that rate off their website or is it on the phone! Also what is the situation with long term parking there.....what is the fee?
Thanks for your help!

A friend of mine always flys Spirit out of AC, never had a problem, and I think the parking is FREE. We usually fly USAir out of Philly, but, for our upcoming trip in November, we are flying AirTran, out of Philly. I got great airfare...$172.50 for non-stop flights...USAir wanted over $700 for the same flight!!! We've never flown AirTran, but another friend has and never had a problem with them either. My DH won't even consider flying Spirit, because the AC airport is small. (Don't ask...he's male!;) ) Considering that he would rather drive, ugh, if he's willing to fly out of Philly, that's fine with me!:D

Just an opinion.......Having flown from Philly and A/C, I would definitely pick A/C.. Yes, it's a smaller airport, but for the money savings, you can't beat it. We are flying from A/C in November (Thanksgiving Day actually). Can't wait - counting the days!!!!!!

I live in Vineland, and I always use US Airways out of Philadelphia. I always get great airfare with them, as I do book very early. The trick here is knowing exactly of your dates. I booked back in Feb. of this year for this upcoming Nov. 22 returning on Dec. 7th. My price was $176.50 Rount Trip. Also The Disney Club had the same price. I have checked on the same flights today, If i where to book today I would have to pay over $1,000. Wow alot of money.... You can book now through the Disney Club for your upcoming trip in August, if they are not showing it yet, ask them when you can book with them, That is going to be your best airfare with US or you can call them direct.

I also have never flown out of AC with Spirit, my girlfriend uses them all the time coming back and forth from Florida, but lately she has been having problems with them.

I also do use A King's Limo. They are wonderful, the price is great and I have never ever had a problem with them, They have a new line of Limo's I am picked up at my front door, taken to the airport, a quick stop at WaWa is fine with the driver. and when I return home they are there! Year's ago my father had a car stolen out of the airport in Philly, at a secure parking lot! My cousin had her car broken into at AC parking lot.

Here is the price for A King's Limo $178.00 Round Trip and it also includes the tip. Not bad, and worth the money of all the hassle's. Here is there phone # (856) 629-2240 or the area code may be (609) not sure have we have had a change in area code #.s

Happy Thanksgiving to all. :Pinkbounc

I think the parking was $3.00 per day. We booked our reservations online because it was $5 cheaper each way to book online. We booked pretty early....about 5 or 6 months in advance. Let me know if you have any other questions.
