Air Canada to Asia Experiences?

Last summer we flew Air Canada Toronto to Singapore (it was a code share with AC to Tokyo Narita then ANA to Singapore) and then AC return from Tokyo. It was a bucket list trip with a cruise through Asia leaving from Singapore and ending in Tokyo. We had ports in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and few in Japan and were able to experience both Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo. The service on ANA was leaps and bounds above AC, however we had no major issues with AC other than really rude flight attendants on the return flight from Tokyo. We also waited over an 1 1/2 a half to get our luggage upon arrival at Pearson but that wasn't a fault of the airline.

This summer we were hoping to do Thailand but the flights are significantly more this year.
