Ok we are now 17 days from WDW and this is our 1st time with the dining plan and it is thoroughly stressing me out. We usually go and have a rough plan of what park to do what day but never have we figured out what time we will be hungry 180 days out! Ok, so here are the days that I think I may have messed up and need to change asap....

Mon Aug 27th Animal Kingdom for rope drop (8 am). Whispering Canyon ressies at either 12:20 or 1:20 (They have many openings between 12-2:30). Should I keep Whispering Canyon or cancel all together so I am not pulling the kids from Animal Kingdom? Or, do you think 8-12:30 is enough time for them to do AK (ages 4 & 7). If I cancel we would just do a counter service somewhere in the park and then after nap time in the afternoon go to another park and see if I can get another TS reservation there.

Tues Aug 28th We start at the princess breakfast at Epcot for dd's 4th birthday at 9:05 (should I try to change to a little later to enjoy the early opening rides?). then we HAVE to take naps that day because we have the P&PP that evening (nice that disney is throwing a princess party for our dd's birthday!). We also have 4:55 ressies at Crystal Palace.

So I guess those are my questions:
1. Keep Whispering Canyon or cancel and if we keep it what time (12:20 or 1:20)
2. Princess breakfast at 9:05 or later if possible?
3. Keep Crystal Palace? (I tried to get a later time but it is full)

Thank you everyone!

to AK for rope drop in June. It wasn't an EMH day though. If you're not planning on doing Everst, you should have time to make WCC. It seemed like everyone headed in that direction when the ropes dropped. I would try the 1:20 though. Sometimes the commute can take longer than planned.

On that day we were able to Dinosaur, Triceratop Spin, Primeval Whirl, It's a Bugs Life with a liesurely stroll around the Tree of Life and the River Rapids in under two hours. We did the safari the year before and my son goes to camp at the zoo in the summer so it wasn't a priority for us this year.

I'd keep Crystal Palace. It seems that the later the ADR, the longer the wait for a table - especially at buffets. Also, I think late afternoon (before the daily rainstorm) is the hottest, steamiest time of the day, so I like to eat at a TS place so I can be in air conditioning around that time. Or, if it wasn't extremely hot, it was raining. So, I've found that ADR's from 4:00-5:00 were best because it allowed us to eat during either the hottest part of the day or during the daily rainstorm.

Personally, the only thing I would do is make WCC at 1:20. Everything else is good.

Thank you all so much. I don't know why this is stressing me out so much. I seem to be putting all the energy into these meals and feel like I am trying to plan how much time we will need to do the fun stuff to make it to a meal....kind of backwards. I hope it all works and I keep telling myself it is FREE FOOD for goodness sakes, make the most of it!

You're stressing out because time is gaining on you. Now you should just relax and enjoy. You've got everything set very nicely. Start dreaming about your vacation and all the fun you're gonna have. BTW - we're doing the P&PP on the 21st - should be a load of fun!!:woohoo:
