We have just grazed our way again around EC International Showcase (we were there yesterday, too, for the pre-opening), and this year's Food & Wine Festival is another hit! The lobster chunks in Ireland's Seafood Pie were huge; the spice in the Indonesian beef was flaming; the sauce on the mussels at Belgium was to die for. And that was just the first course. So, for all of you looking forward to this great event, take it from the two of us who were in line when it opened, it was fantastic!

Are snack credits still allowed? We'll be doing Food & Wine one night and was hoping to use snack credits to eat our way around the world.

You may use DDP Snack Credits for Food items. It is clearly marked on all menu boards with the DDP symbol what items are allowed.

I'll be you in two weeks! I love the seafood pie. You might want to try the shrimp dish in China. It's another standout. And my son, the meat-eater, loved the filet in Africa.

I hope you keep on having fun.

:)

Thanks for the positive review!

9 days is going to seem sooo long...

I'm so jealous!!! I just told DH that when the kids are older we are going during F&W festival and I'm going to eat at all the booths. He and the kids could do the rides and they can pick me up when they're done... :rotfl:

Yum. Any pics? I'm scouring DIS for live TRs but there's a dearth of food pics

Nice! I'll be there next weekend question is US not represented this year?

US is represented again with lobster roll, lobster claw and lots of Sam Adams beer.

Is there any chance you noticed the non-frozen margarita at the Mexico booth? It looks a tad pricey if it's just a tiny sample.

We did notice it -- not as small as the wine offerings, but not as big as the ones across the way at the outdoor food service area. We did not sample it, as we were working our way through the wines, if you know what I mean.....

Thanks. I'll have to decide while I'm getting my shrimp tacos. If Orlando is having the same weather we in St. Petersburg are, you sure hit the good weather jackpot!

I always buy the one inside at La Cava (the do to go cups) - the ones at the booth tend to skimp on the tequila IMO

That's where I really want to go but there holding a F & W event in there. Last year we tried to get in there when the event was over but it was packed with a huge line waiting to go in. I asked if we could just get a drink to go and a CM said that was what the line was for.

Oh, well, I ended up getting my margarita from the pool bar at CBR.
