Heyy fellow disers....
Just looking for some extra pixie dust and some hugs.....I have had a pretty crazy week. Monday night i was having a really bad pain behind my belly button and then it moved to my lower right side of my stomach. I stayed home from school tuesday because of the pain and i couldn't even sneeze it hurt so bad. So my mom took me to the hospital tuesday night and the doctor examined me. He said you probably have appendicitis. Then when i got a cat scan they found that my appendix was not enlarged or swollen but it was looongg. The criteria to have an appendicitis is 6.0 mm long and of course mine decides to be diffucult and was 5.92 mm long. So the radiologist said i was fine but my doctor decided to keep me because i had a tremendous amount of pain and he knew i would be back in like 5 hours with my appendix all inflamed and stuff. Okay so its now like 10:30 and i am in sooo much pain and i am finally admitted to the hospital. I was going to see the surgeon in the morning but my doctor said that she wanted to have the surgeon come in to examine me now, just to be on the safe side and so she wouldnt have to call her at 3:00 in the morning with my appendix about to burst and she havent examined me yet. So the surgeon came and now its like midnight and she examined me and said i had a lot of rebound tenderness....*SIDENOTE* rebound tenderness is when the doc. pushes in on my stomach where my appendix is and when he lifts his hand up it hurts like heck *END SIDENOTE* Finally i try to get some sleep. I cant tho. because i am in soooo much pain. And at this point i haven't slept a full night since sunday because mon. night i barely slept at all. So i fall asleep and wake up like every half hour and i should be passed out completely cause i have had 4 doses of Morphene ( a pain killer ) and 2 doses of Thyrade (another pain killer) but nope i am still wide a wake and i still have pain. This is how they are getting a clue that i have appendicitis b/c any pain meds. even the strong ones that i mentioned above can't mask an appendicitis. So wed. morning the surgeon comes in and examines me again and i still have the same pain and its getting worse so she says we are going to do a Laproscopy. *SIDENOTE* A Laproscopy is when they put a camera down your belly button and two claws in your belly, so i will have three scars. To picture it it is like the 3 points of a triangle if you connected them it would make a triangle. Get it?? haha *END SIDENOTE* At like 12:00 i go in for surgery. I am sooo nervous at this point. They put my two arms out on a like arm rest and put the anestesia in my IV and a blood pressure cuff on my other arm and they say you are going to become very sleepy now. And like literally 2 seconds later i fell asleep. I didn't even get to count. lol haha. so like and hour and a half later i wake up in the recovery room. I stayed in the hospital until yesterday afternoon and came home at like 3:00. Meanwhile i can't walk, barely talk, or breathe because you have to use your stomach muscles to do all of these things. So I have been sitting in bed for like ever. And i have to miss all of school next week and i can't go back to gym or dance class for 3 weeks. And i missed every day this week except for monday and today because today we had a snow day!! yeahh. oh yeah and next week we have NJ Ask so i get to miss those even though when i get back i am going to have to make them up. Oh yeah and another thing, i miss all my friends and especially my boyfriend. b/c he asked me out on friday night and i saw him once at school on monday and haven't seen him since. Ahhhhh i am losing it and i hate being home, there is nothing on TV. So i just needed to vent thanks for listening
