First of all, I love these boards!!!Quick way to get my daily disney fix I have been reading you for months and finally found the courage to join you guys.

My question for you is do you know how the families that open the MK every day are chosen? I would totally love to give someone my request but forgot to inquire on my last trip.

I've heard that the families are chosen from the ones who attend the early PS's in MK (the character breakfasts at CRT and CP).

Welcome! And from what I've witnessed, it seems they pick a random family from those first in line at the turnstiles.

Hi! This is my first time posting on the boards although I have been lurking for two years. On our first trip to WDW we were the family chosen to open MK! We were first in line at the turnstiles and DH got into a conversation with a CM (he talks to everyone!). Anyway after talking for about 10 minutes she asked us if DS would like to open the park, of course we said SURE!! This was one of my best memories of our trip the pictures were so great, on every picture DS's feet were never on the ground!
