I really really want to have a meal in Agrabah cafe. But I've got two kids, fussy eaters. Would I be mad to have a meal there? Would I leave my kids hungry? Is it worth?

I was in the same situation when I took DD to the Agrabah Cafe Isila - to this day its still my favourite restaurant for theming, its amazing inside.

We have only been once for lunch though, because my DD is fussy too, and she didn't have much choice for food. She had plain pasta with a tomato-based sauce over it. If we went again now, I'm sure she'd try the chicken wings, as she's recently discovered she likes them.

There's always been lots of children in there when we go but if your two are fussy I don't think it's worth it.

What do they eat as there are things like roast chicken , spicy lamb sausages, beef moussaka, meatballs and kebab meat but no burgers, nuggets or pizza in site :)

My kids LOVE Agrabah Cafe and they aren't overly adventurous eaters. Mine loved the different meats and fish etc. but they wouldn't touch the salads. The 9 month old ate only oranges in cinnamon on one occasion but he was free then anyway so I didn't mind :)

It depends how fussy yours are, I guess - if they are only willing to eat the usual burgers/nuggets/fries then I wouldn't advise it but if they are willing to try new things then you should be fine. There are lots of fairly 'normal' things - sausages, pasta, rice, fish... I'm sure there's something that they will eat there.

Also, if you want to go there then I'd say go anyway - it's your holiday too! :) It would be horrible to not go and then regret it when you get home so I say go for it! I also forgot the pancakes with syrup - even if they just fill up on those it means you get your chance to go!

My youngest is a fussy eater and although he loves the buffets at PG and RDS, he's never wanted to return here for a 2nd visit. I've never wanted to return here after watching 2 young boys licking their fingers and dipping them in the sugar mountain next to the crepes, I just kept wondering what else they'd "tried".

We've been kicking this around as well...I REALLY want to go, DH says it looks great but with a kid...you just never know. He isn't so much picky as he has food aversions (he's an Aspie)...so it's a gamble.

At home, I often make things like Pita Bread, Naan...and he eats Doners from our village all the time. might just have to bite the bullet and hope for the best? :confused3

Thanks for asking this as it's a place I'd really like to try. DS can be fussy but will eat roast chicken if it's not spicy and loves things like meatballs. He'd eat his own weight in homous if I let him and I assume that they have that on offer!

There's tons of houmous and it's lovely :goodvibes

We were going to go on Monday but it rained but will be back before the end of the month

I'd like to have lunch here next Tuesday around 1.30 or so. Would I have to book a table or would we safe to just roll up?

Thanks!

Could be closed next Tuesday as well as Monday - it often is out of season - I'd ring and check :thumbsup2

I think I'll give it a go. My kinds just don't eat. You never know what will they like. Sometimes they even don't eat burgers and have a tiny tiny slice of pizza. On the other hand, DS1 improved over this year - I mean about food. And DS2... well he is a vegetarian. He doesn't eat meat. So he will love rise. But he does eat pizza with ham, burgers and hot dogs. But he'll get rid of any other kind of meat. Pancakes will do.

So, adding Agrabah to my meal plan list. If I can't have Inventions, at least I'll enjoy myself in Agrabah cafe. It's sooo tempting. And get so tired of burgers, hotdogs, fries while at DLP :goodvibes

I tried it for the first time last week. I loved it as I knew I would. I think my kids would love it too, but honestly, kids will love the fact of helping themselves to whatever they like so I think that will help yours to try stuff they might be iffy about. The pasta, meatballs, naan breads and kebab meat is really nice.
