We will be traveling to WDW six weeks before my DDs 4th birthday. We plan to eat at the Blue Zoo and were hoping to take all four children to the club while we ate (ages 5,6, and 9). Will she be old enough for the club? She is very tall and mature for her age. Most people assume she is over 4 already and our trip is still five months away. We will be staying at BCV so we could take them to either the club at the BC or Dolphin. Any thoughts? I have never used the clubs so I am not familiar with their policies.

My understanding is that they don't take kids under 4 for licensing reasons. That being said, no one ever asks for ID. However, you might want to look into inroom babysitting.

You might ask at the Club to see if they can make an exception for you, but I suspect it's not something that's left to their discretion - probably based on state licensing and number of kids to caregivers..... One thing to consider if you were to "fudge" her age - how would your daughter respond if someone (one of the caregivers) were to say something like "you're tall for a 4 year old" or something innocent like that? My son would probably have told them proudly that he's only 3! Guess you'll have to decide if it's worth the risk....

"Age: Childcare is provided for children over age 4 who are potty-trained, through age 12. Resorts will not make exceptions."

Sorry but if your child isn't 4 by the time of your stay you will have to look into the in-room options. The WDW Childcare centers are not licensed for children under 4.

Thanks for the replies. I would never teach my kids to lie so I guess I will have to look into in-room options (even though she already swears up and down that she is 5). just wasn't sure how strict the policy was. Thanks again.

i have actually heard that they are not strict on it at all... potty-training is far more important than age... i would call the club directly and ask... the worse they can do is say "no"

I'll ask about the age requirement in person w/ someone who works there next week when we're there (hopefully!) and let you know what they say.

Thank you I would really appreciate that! I know she would make out well since she is in a class at school with all 4 year-olds and has been potty trained for over a year.
