Agent P's Adventure

I wonder if I'm allowed to share this link. I'd try to describe it, but this review is better (and it has pictures):

Basically it's a revamp of the Kim Possible missions. You sign up to be a secret agent and get a refurbished cell phone to give you clues around one country area in World Showcase. Sometimes solving your clues will trigger events (like activating things in store windows), sometimes you have to talk to a cast member to get your next clue. It's a fun way to explore World Showcase and I found myself noticing things I'd overlooked before. When you're done with one country you can choose another if you want.

It's a ton of fun, and a good way to help keep the countries interesting for kids. It closes pretty early, like ~8pm. If it's too close to closing when you finish your country, it won't let you get a new one. We stopped for a while last time to eat lunch and such after finishing a country, and the phone went dead or bonkers. We replaced it and started with a new country. You might need to set a limit as to how many countries you are willing to do. It can be a big time sink. You might even say just one, to see how long it is taking. Sometimes the clues are not the easiest, but there are usually people around that you can follow if you get stuck. I would consider doing it as an adult, but DS is usually with us. It's pretty fun.

My DGD loved it! I wish we had allocated more time for this, because we all had a blast!

The coolest part is that,in some of the France Missions, you get an Agent P Pressed Penny that you can't get anywhere else.:)

It is an interactive game, played using a cell phone (that they provide) in several countries in the World Showcase. It is amazing fun for young ones, and helps keep them interested in the World Showcase.

What age group is this good for, and is there any reading involved? My DDs are 6 and 2. The 6yo can read a little, but probably not well enough to understand clues.

@Ava
The characters say things, and what they say is displayed on the screen too. There might be some word clues. I would just follow along with them. Sometimes it's a little hard to hear too.

The 2 nine year olds in our group last summer would have played Agent p every day for hours! The best part is the interactive design. The kids will point the device at something in a pavilion and crazy things happen. Its very cool.

6 and 2 is too young for them to play on their own so an adult will have to hang with them and help understand where to go next. Allow extra time. It takes a while to play at one pavilion and then they'll probably want to go to another one. The other adults will enjoy relaxing in the shade with a beverage. We looooove Epcot!

This sounds perfect. My mother and MIL are coming with us, so I wanted to plan a good amount of time in WS for them since I know they enjoy walking through all the pavilions. The kids and I can play Agent P while DW and the grandmas shop - everyone wins!

I'll add some questions:

1. How long does it take to "sign up"/get your phone?
2. When you're done your mission, where do you drop off your phone/get a new mission?
3. Are you able to do this for all countries/choose which country you want?

Do you have to know anything about which ever movie/show/etc. Agent P is from? My boys and DH liked the Kim Possible mission in 2011, and were able to do it without knowing anything about KP. I don't have a clue who Agent P is, but I think my older girls would like the mission this next trip.

1) not long to sign up at all - a few minutes
2) I think there are multiple places, but we did International Gateway (right name? Where you transition from future world to world showcase. It's marked on maps)
3) you can choose your country

Same here for Kim Possible -didn't know her at all but missions were still fun. Agent P is a character from Phineas and Ferb cartoon and you don't need to know anything other than you're being assigned a "spy mission"

At the end of your mission at each country (there are 8 countries that have missions) there is an option to pick another country or end your activity. There is a cleverly disguised receptacle in each country to drop off your phone. Directions for drop off are given the same as the mission clues, on the phone itself. Unless you know it's the drop off, you'd never guess.

The usual starting countries are either Norway or France, but the CM's where you enroll as a secret agent can assign others. There is (was, maybe changed with the current renovations going on) a sign up spot at Interventions too. Have also seen them by the International Gateway and by Norway. They are portable sign up kiosks so could be relocated by now.

And yes, not just families, adults can enjoy it too!

It is from Phineas and Ferb on Disney Channel. It is an amazing animated show. My husband and I watch just as much as our kids. It is hilarious and clever. Check it out.

My daughter was 6 and loved this when we did it in 2013! our last trip it was closed the whole time we were there....very disappointing for my kids since it was our only epcot day=(

Def do it....and I agree with the pp who suggested you check out the show phineas and ferb. it is great!! appeals to everyone in our family!!!
