I'm trying to put together a plan for touring world showcase for our first visit.

We are going Early December with children aged 10 and 8. From what I can gather there is lots going on in each pavilion with some rides/agent P adventures/Holiday storytellers etc.

I think my boys would really enjoy agent P adventures but I am struggling to see how to fit everything in.

We are planning two days at EPCOT - from rope drop to approx. 2pm where i'm hoping to cover future world and a tour of world showcase during the day and then another evening to see the world showcase at night and illuminations.

For a first visit would you include agent P or does this take too long?

Also I wondered if you can do agent P at night and whether this would be a good option to keep the boys occupied when we return for the evening tour? Are the effects better during the day or at night?

Are there any pavilions that are better than others for the adventures?

Thanks

Agent P is done as you tour World Showcase - I have never found that it takes any additional time. Instead it was a great way to keep my son from being bored as we enjoyed looking through each country.

Exactly as previous poster stated. It helps kids (and adults) see more details in the countries. We try to do it as we tour the countries. It does keep you at a slower pace but my 14yr old daughter loves to do it. Plus the adventures aren’t the same every time. There is a lot of variety so you could do more than once in a country if you wanted or in our case do it next trip and it will be a bit different.

When you launch agent P, you get to choose a country and the mission keeps you in that country.

They are all great, but France and U.K. are my favorite.

You used to not be able to do it at night but now since you do it from a website on you phone, maybe you're able to. But they may not have lights on some of the effects so I would try to plan on doing it during the day is possible. We find it to be a good afternoon activity but if you're taking an afternoon break that doesn't work so well. But I would think with two days you would have time.

Agent P is great, but they only do it during daylight hours now. The last two years they have closed Agent P at 5pm or 6pm in December.

You can do Agent P at night because it’s an app on your phone now. You just need to go to the kiosk before 5 if you have questions then you can play at your leisure from there. It was my 10 yo favorite thing at Epcot. He would play while we waited for dinner reservations etc. He didn’t seem to care if it was dark or not. His favorite countries were Japan and Germany and did multiple missions in those locations.

My DD absolutely loved Agent P at those ages. The minute we got to EPCOT that is what she would be asking to do the minute WS opened. You need to do it in the daytime if you can-- WS gets more crowded at night and it makes it harder to do. Also, it can be easier to find the things in the daylight hours. We have done every county multiple times-- day and night over the years. Night can definitely be a pain. DD likes the missions in all the countries, but I think Germany is probably her favorite.

It is really fun. My brother and I do this and he is in his late teens and I am in my 20s. Our favorites are Mexico, Japan, and Germany. However, it can be difficult if you go during a busy time and start in the later afternoon because you can see other kids do the mission before you and it may ruin some of the surprises. It is becoming less popular though so there may be less kids doing it.

Do you have to go to the kiosk before starting, or can you just go to the website on your phone without going to the kiosk?

Just go to agentpwsa.com on your Phone starting at 11:00 AM.

The latest time to START a Mission is 8:15 PM.:)

My favorite Mission is France if it includes the free Pressed Penny(not all France Missions include the Penny).:)

If we are heading to Epcot multiple evenings, can the kids continue a mission each night, or do they start over?

I believe that it resets everyday. It is not like the Sorcerers at the Magic Kingdom where your progress is tied to your magic band.

That is the age my kids were when we went 5 years ago. There were a few that were indoor (Mexico I think was a good one) that was great for stopping the "I'm hot!" whines for a while.
