We are taking my son to Disney World next year for his birthday. :cool1: We will be arriving on October 17 and his birthday is on the 18th. He will be turning 10. Am I right to assume we will be charged for a child since he will be 9 upon check-in? I hope so. He is a vey light and picky eater and will order from the child's menu regardless.

Thanks.

Well, this happened to us during our June, 2007 trip. Our son was just 9 upon check in but turned 10 during the trip. The castmember booked him as a child.

He is a super picky eater too. I can tell you that I paid for a lot of his meals out of pocket due to the fact that he wanted hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken strips and pizzas most of the time. You will find that those are not on many of the kids' menus. Lots of times, we found that he could only order PB&J sandwiches, grilled chicken strips, etc. Definitely not something he would eat.

So, this year, I am actually happy that he can order from the adult menus. We usually use our table service credits for our dinner meals. Most table service restaurants have a really good burger on their lunch menus and they will let him order that for his dinner.

We actually do a lot of buffets and character meals, so the menu doesn't matter too much anyway. But I hate to pay adult price for a character meal when he is going to eat 10 bites.
