Age difference between you and your spouse/SO?

I'm just curious about the age differences between DISers and their mates. My husband is almost 10 years younger than me. It works out just fine for us, because he's (usually) mature and I'm young at heart.

So, what's the difference, and how does it work out for you?

DH is 9 years older than me and I wouldn't have it any other way. I never liked guys my own age - always dated older. In general I found them more mature.

I'm 5 years younger than my DBF. It's not too much or too little, and even if it was more or less, I don't know how much it would matter. We share most of the same values and goals and that's really what seems to be most important.

The one thing we don't share is my undying love and thirst for Disney. But, he tolerates it and I've decided it's not a dealbreaker! Especially since he actually said the other night, "It's not like when we go I won't have fun. I just don't know if I'll have as much fun as you." Did you catch that? WHEN we go. That's it, he said it and I'm holding him to it!

We've known each other for 10 years now - were friends first, together for 4 years, apart for 4 years and have been together again for another year now. I think we both needed some time to grow separately to come back and continue to grow together.

DH is 8 years older than me but that is only because I stopped getting older at 30 seriously though, there is a 4 1/2 year difference between us.

You know, if I actually read all the choices in the poll before I answered, I might have done a better job, here. I voted 1-5 years younger, but we are actually only about 6 months apart, so we are essentially the same age.
