Again, RCL cruise Passenger Missing

If your concern is lack of safety in the port cities, that isn't really a cruise issue. You could just pick cruises that go to places where you aren't concerned about safety. For example, cruise from Vancouver to Alaska. Or cruise from NYC to New England and Canada. Or go foreign to Greece, Italy, etc. Don't go to the little Caribbean islands if you don't feel safe there. I know we felt a bit uncomfortable a couple of times in Jamaica, though we weren't on a cruise at the time.

Or from Seattle to Alaska.

I'm aware of the other cruise options. I didn't specify because I thought it was clear the thread was about cruises to the islands. Since I'm being specific, I feel the same way about the ones to Mexico.

I've been on only 1 cruise, and I wouldn't go on another. I never felt unsafe, so my dislike of cruising was for other reasons. However, the more stories I hear about people going missing off of cruise ships, assaults on cruise ships, etc., the more I am glad that I didn't fall in love with cruising.

I'm going on my first cruise in March with 2 other couples. It's a RCCL cruise. I'm not overly concerned but we've definitely discussed a buddy system just in case one of our spouses wants to off one of us for the insurance money and blame it on rccl
