Just saw the Samantha Brown promo during the parade and again they showed her moving.

PS just road it last week and it is in a different STATIC position from a year and a half ago.

If (and thats a big if) they ever decide to repair her they'd have to tear the whole thing down and start from scratch being that its 3 seperate things making up the entire attraction. (and thats my own personal opinion)

They always show it with Samantha brown working its just a ploy

I don't think they would need to tear it all down but certain sections would need to be removed in order to repair it.

I thought Samantha Brown did move. :)

To be fair, it can and does move still -- they just keep it turned off. But, theoretically, Ms. Brown could ride the ride today and have the yeti move if they ran the ride in the right mode.

You mean like how NPH was able to ride PP 14 times in two days?;)

They would not have to tear the whole thing down. They WOULD have to remove large sections of it and it would likely be down for an extended period of time...therefore, my opinion is that if they fix it it will be after Avatarland opens.

Hello hello sorry baby I can't move a thing
I haven't been serviced in a while you see, see
But but it's OK there's a flashing light on me
Sorry if you wanted more it's only Disney

It's only Disney
It's only Disney
What more than a strobe would you expect at Disney?

Disco Yeti is my name this mountain's where I stay
I used to be ferocious now I'm just a display
They said they had some plans for me, they'd put me on TV
Then hung me on the wall like Mickey's hunting trophy

Stopped moving, not proving Disney's expertise anymore
Imagineers build what engineers ignore
Bob Iger's got tigers, rhinos, and giraffes by the score
So what's he need a working mythical beast for?

So ride if you want but there's no more motion
You're just going to find a mannequin
Been fried since they ended my promotion
Left me behind a mannequin
More meets and greets and some brand new suites
So that no one will mind the mannequin
Cause I'm stuck up above and I'm getting no love
An expensive kind of mannequin

My son and I rode EE on 10-30-13 at some point around noon and Yeti DID move! I certainly wasn't expecting it, so it scared the socks off me!! …so THAT worked! :scared1: But …was it a fluke or a test or ??? I don't know, but believe me, she DID move that time!! :scared1:

They have repositioned the Yeti, so it is closer to the track and better appears to be moving... but still static. I have ridden EE many times, but when we rode it earlier this year I ducked & yelped - and my friend and I turned to each other as the ride stopped to ask, "What did they change about the yeti?" I think they lowered it towards the track a bit.

Yea a year and a half ago when we rode it the yeti was a lot more upright like a quarter of the way to swiping down and taking your head off, now she is half way there but still not moving.

When I went in September it looked like the Yeti moved; only a slight movement, not like the way it originally bent down and swung it's arm, but it is enough to add to the effect. And the ride is awesome even if the Yeti doesn't move.

We were there when it was new and it moved and after when it didn't move. We were there the first week in Dec. and it definitely was closer to the tracks and appeared to swing down. Me and my husband both noticed the change.

In the whole scheme of things, who really cares???
I've ridden EE many many times & have never seen the Yeti move. It's still one of my favorite rides.

I'm still trying to figure out what Yeti you all are talking about. Lol. Apparently it didn't have a big impact on me.
