AG doll advice needed ASAP!!!!!!

Ok here it goes, I called my AG store and they do have Nikki in stock but they wont tell me how many are on the shelf or hold one or even ship it to me. I happily called my DH to tell him the good news he said NO , he wants our daughter to get Josefina because she is from New Mexico and it would teach our daughter a little about our heritage and she can get the others later for bdays, next xmas, etc. He feels the first one should have special meaning. I told him, who cares about heritage (j/k), Nikki is 2007 doll and that should have meaning as well since it will be her very first AG doll!!!!!!! Please help!!!!! I need advice on what to do!!!!!!

That;s just what I needed to hear and it is exactly what I told my DH.. Before I get any flames, Josefina is beautiful as well but, she is not only available in 2007 like Nikki. I left the american girl catalog on the kitchen table on purpose for my DD8 to see and she absolutely LOVED Nikki!!!!!

I agree. We have Nicki too. She is so pretty. Maybe you could get Josefina for a birthday??

My DD got Marisol for Xmas in 2005. She was the doll of the year then. Once she sold out the prices for her went through the roof!!

I was in the Chicago store on Saturday night, and there were several Nikki's.

My hesitation is that there won't be accessories specifically for her anymore. For example, DD has Emily (Molly's friend) and is getting Julie for Christmas. When we were at the store, she was able to pick out accessories for both dolls.

In the future, your DD won't be able to get accessories specifically for Nikki, will that lessen her enthusiasm?

I will say that I had my sister by the bed that folds out to hold 2 dolls (Kit I think) b/c it just makes more sense, even though DD doesn't have that doll.

I prefer the historical dolls, btw! So I vote Josefina!

Another vote for Nicki here! My DD8 has her and she just loves her. She'll be gone soon and Josefina will still be around and available. Hopefully, your DH will see the light. Interesting that he's so clear on his opinion. My DH couldn't care less!
