Afternoon Tea

Thank you so much for the great information, Mary Jo. I loved seeing the photos and video too! I LOVE going to afternoon tea, so feel tempted to try this, but as a mom of three tween-to-teen aged boys, it is tough to pull off on vacation. I like that your son clearly enjoyed it! He and his date were such good sports about the filming.

I hope all who make it to the tea have a wonderful time, and that it sticks around long-term.

Forgive my ignorance, but how does tea selection work? Do you just get to choose one tea throughout the meal or can you get a different one each cup? Is there a limit?

We were told we could get whatever teas we wanted. We were served tea and there was more in the little teapots, however, we could order more. We ordered a different tea each, and at the end we ordered an iced tea and a hot tea.

I actually took my son to the Mary Poppins tea when he was 9 or so - I didn't give him a choice. ha ha

My guys love Mary Poppins, so would be up for that. We did the "Supercalifragilistic Breakfast" at WDW several years ago that included Mary Poppins. More recently I brought them to tea when I was on vacation and this was the result (below). They're good sports usually, but I will wait a bit before another attempt!

My daughter and I attended the tea last Saturday. We loved it. How relaxing!! I had the premium tea and my daughter had the children's tea. My favorite was the kid's chocolate chip scone shaped like Mickey. I thought my daughter's scone was divine! We both left full. I will definitely book again!

Thanks Mary Jo for the review and pics. DD and I enjoy afternoon teas - we go once every few months here at a local hotel. Hoping that we can try this in the summer if they still have it. It's a nice way to sit back and relax.

I have a question, if you have a party of like 6, can people get diffferent "teas"? For instance could 3 of us get premium and 3 get regular?

Yes, that won't be a problem. Everyone gets the classic offerings, and the premiums will also get the sparkling wine, salad, and truffles to take.

Great blog! I'm looking forward to our reservation when we go. Are we able to take anything we don't finish home with us? I know it's tea, and mean to be light offerings, but just in case. Also, would they have let you take out your last drink if not finished?
