I hope this is the correct place to post this.

Does anyone have experience on whether a PS would be required for Afternoon Tea in July? I may like to do this, but would prefer to save it for a rainy day for the girls while the males check out Disney Quest.

Thanks for your insights.

Although I have always made PS for afternoon tea, I have always found the restaurant to have seating available. You should be just fine without a PS.

Mmm well when we went in 1st week of December last year you couldn't get in without a PS - it was cold though so I guess everyone wanted comfort food and hot tea.

This event sells out almost consistently. In March I wanted to change my reservation to a leter time, and even with the concierge calling, it couldn't be done, they were booked solid.

I have gone ONCE without a PS. I would not suggest it. We went in close to noon and asked, and were told to come back around 5 and they might have something. We checked back quite a few times, and even at 5 they had a hard time seating us. It was a Saturday. Anytime I have gone since then it has been quite full (even on days other than Sat). I would venture to assume if it were a nice rainy day it would be packed. It is a wonderful place for lunch, and we leave stuffed each time. Maybe you could make a PS and plan for the guys to go to DQ that day, even if it is not rainy. The guys may even enjoy the lunch.

Thanks for giving your experiences. It has been years since we went there the first time and I had a feeling it might have 'caught on' since then.
