We have ADR for afternoon tea on our upcoming trip (leaving in 6 days!!). I was wondering if it is going to be a "nay or yay" event! My mom has always wanted to do afternoon tea and this trip she is getting her wish (I get to drag her to canoeing at FW as my wish :rotfl:) Thanks in advance for the comments!

This will be our 3rd trip to the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. We LOVE this, even my husband. It is so relaxing and the wait staff is wonderful. I think you will be surprised at how enjoyable it is.

We love this! We always get the buckingham Palace tea , Mrs. Potts tea for kiddos! It is great! One of our "Must Do's"!:rotfl:

We do too! We leave in 4 days, so excited! Which day will you be having tea? Our reservation is at 3:50PM on Wednesday March 10th!

I've done tea a few times before at the Ritz Carlton near my house with my mom, I absolutely love it and they do it very well, it will be interesting to see how Disney compares! Also if you click Dining up at the light blue bar on this screen you can look at reviews, it's gotten very good ratings!

I am so glad to hear about all of the great reviews. I also have an ADR for the Afternoon Tea when we are there at the end of March. It will be me, DMIL, DD6, and DD8 while DH and DFIL goes off and does some sort of boys thing. I am super excited about it. My girls have no idea that we are going to this, and I know they will be excited too because they love playing tea parties at home....now they can go to a real one :goodvibes

We did this for our trip last Sept. and loved it..me, DH and DD4, everything was very good...I just wish we had bought some of the GF Tea for home and maybe a teacup or two. We will plan on doing this on our next trip:)

1) We love Afternoon Tea.
2) We do it at least once per month.
3) We catch the Disney Tea 2-3 times per year.
4) You will most certainly enjoy it.

To me this is a MUST for moms, daughters, sisters or friends. We love this!! Can't wait to do this again in May. ALso if either of you are celebrating a brithday let the hostess know when you check.

We love it! We will be going in about one week, and I can't wait!

My Mom and I did this last March and it was so awesome. We had the best time and we are not tea drinkers. The food, service and ambience was great.
They do give you a lot of food so just be prepared for that in case you have a big dinner reservation I highly recommend it!

So glad to hear all the good reviews! I'm suprising my DM and DD with tea this coming Saturday! :cool1:

I want to do this but have so many ressie that Im afraid it will be too much, I love tea but I dont drink much of it in warm weather I wanted to go for the little tea sandwhiches and scones and things is it a heavy type snack? Can I just get like some pate, scones and sandwhiches or is it more expensive doing it that way?

really excited to try this new event on our next trip (two days!!) we are big tea drinkers and wicked glad we chose this to do in the middle of our mk full day!!

You should be able to find a menu here or through allears.net. It will really depend on how much you want to order a la carte. If you really want the tea goodies but not the tea, you might be able to substitute a different beverage, or ask for your iced.

I'll be dragging my DH to this in Sept. as my anniversary gift he's giving me. ;) After seeing pictures of this, I can't wait.

I had a late seating for tea and it was lovely and relaxing. It is magical but not annoyingly so. The servers were fantastic and never rushed us. I have been to high tea all over the world (e.g., New York, Singapore, London, San Fancisco) and honestly I think this has to be one of the best values for tea.

We were so full from the sandwiches and scones that we got our desserts packed to go and had them later that evening as an evening treat on the balcony. :)
