hi all,
y'all helped me plan a WONDERFUL trip to WWOHP last may--early may--2nd week. it was just magical.
THANK YOU!!!

my brother's family is in orlando for a lectureship this week, and they are thinking of going to WWOHP this friday, feb 10. problem is they cannot arrive until 1 pm. i cannot give them much advice because are WWOHP plan started with arriving at the gate 1 hour before opening!

i don't think that they will feel like it was worth it if they spend a lot of money to get in and then spend lots of time waiting in line.

SO SOME QUESTIONS----
1. what sort of crowds are we talking about for this friday in early afternoon? for example, how long a wait for FJ? DD?

2. is the single rider line for FJ still an option? castle tour only line?

3. do backpacks, etc. still have to be checked for FJ? does that cause a serious delay? when we went in may, we went fanny pack only just because of the FJ backpack-check thing.

4. at opening time in early may, we did ollivanders, FJ, HIPPO, stores, restaurants, more stores, FJ single rider til we about puked. our kids were too young for the DD. that worked great for us. we stood in line about 5 minutes max. any different suggestions for a early afternoon arrival?

thank you for any answer or additional advice. y'all are just the best.

Based on our experience two weeks ago,

1) You have decent crowds on Friday, not too bad, but mid-day at WWoHP is always crowded mid-day.

2) There was single rider and castle tour available.

3) All bags had to be checked. I wore cargo shorts with big pockets to fit wife's small purse and a camera.

4) Others may have better ideas for mid-day arrival, but I would suggest hitting the rest of the park first and getting to WWoHP about an hour or so before closing when things start to slow down there.

thank you for the info. did you go to wwohp mid day on the friday you were there? if so, i'm wondering how long the line was at mid day for fj? just trying to give them some idea of what they are looking at for wait times. thanks!

Just remember that the park is only open until 7, so they won't have a lot of time.

I would imagine crowds should be pretty low considering President's Day isn't until the following weekend.

We didn't do Friday and we did early opening, but walked through that area on Friday and past the sigh at the front with wait times and the line ranged from 25-60 minutes.
