Are there buses at Ft Wilderness that will be designated for the All Star Sports resort?? I would be arriving at the Fort from Magic Kingdom, but want to know what to expect as we leave....TIA

You will need to make your way back to the MK or to DTD (depending on when your dinner is scheduled, and when MK closes that day) to transfer to a bus for All Stars.

There is no direct bus from Fort Wilderness to another resort.

Actually we did get a bus directly to our hotel....we went to the latest show...I think it was 9:30, so it was pretty late when we left and they had a bunch of buses lined up to take guests directly to their resorts!

We too came out to find a bus waiting to take everyone back to thier rsort though they were very much shared buses. This has been a while and was off season. The ride took a while but everyone had a seat and it was really a nice ride to resorts we had not seen before. We had planned to call a cab if we had any issues.

I was told we would take a bus back to the resort...

When we attempted to board the bus... the driver told us the quickest way to our resort (BCV) would be to take the boat to MK and bus to BCV...

I just assumed he had our best interests in mind and followed his directions...although I was in a hurry to get back to BCV for a Dismeet that I Had planned....so I do hope this was the case...

It wasn't a quick trip back... but we did make it in time...RIGHT on time...

Hugs,
Mary

Our experience after the 7:15 show was that there were busses waiting to take guests back to their resorts. They were not the usual routes, and had several resorts on each bus. We hurried to the bus, not wanting to miss it, and then we sat for what seemed a long time before we left Fort Wilderness. I don't remember the exact route, but it did take a bit. The PP may be right that the fastest way was to go back to the MK, but we found it very convenient, and we were very happy with the transportation there for us.

After the 2 late shows(7 and 9) there are buses to take people back to resorts. The buses are shared, so depending on which stop your resort is it can be a long ride or a short one. The boat directly back to MK is an option most of the time(unless the park is completely closed(meaning no EMH or hard ticket party like MNSSHP)

We have always gone to the 9:30 show (the discounted one) and there has ALWAYS been buses waiting to take folks to their resorts. BUT be warned, if you miss it, then you have a long ride back with transfers.

Our Story: We were staying at the CR and we were a group of 11. My DD had to change the baby after the show and when we got to the bus stop we were told that our bus had left. It was after 11:00PM and a nasty CM told us "we were out of luck". She then told us we would have to take a bus to DtD and then wait for a bus to CR and actually laugh about it. Of course we know how far out of the way that will take you when FW is near CR. So I sat down. The CM told me I better get on the DtD bus and was pretty snipy about it. I told her no way, and that I would walk first, and she said suit yourself and left. Another bus driver witnessed our confrontation and came over to us and offered us a ride home. He said he couldn't understand why she didn't just ask one of the other bus drivers to take us. So we got on his bus, which was heading to the WL and dropped off the folks there and he took us to CR. I wrote to Disney and told them how he went out of our way to help us out. And also told them about the CM that was suppose to be coordinating the buses. Yes, it was our fault that we missed the bus, but we had no idea that it would leave so quickly, even though there were many others heading to the bus stop besides us. Actually there were several other couples that were also heading to CR besides us, so I think there was a total of 17 people needing the bus to CR.

I've always been told that there are resort busses waiting after the 2nd and 3rd show. We always go to the first show so no resort busses for us. We generally take the boat back to MK then get on our resort bus there.

We did have one exception to that. Towards the end of the show on our most recent trip, we could hear the thunder from inside. All the boats at WDW stop running when there's thunder (obvious safety reasons). The only way to resorts because it was the early show was to take the bus to the entrance of FW, take a separate bus to a park, then get a bus back to our resort. All of this in the pouring rain with a whole lot of other people who also got out of the same show at the same time as us. Sigh......

n2mm, the CM who told you that you were out of luck and then ordered you onto another bus was flat out not following Disney policy. We were told by a couple different CMs that any guest who requests a ride of a CM with wheels is required to give that guest a ride (a CM driving us in a van during the above mentioned thunder storm volunteered this info). The fact that he was so rude makes it worse. I'm glad you let Disney know what happened. I hope you also mentioned the bus driver who approached you and drove you and all the others still left behind (clearly showing it was NOT your fault since it wasn't just you who missed the original bus) a ride to your resort. He's a definite keeper and Disney needs to know about their good people as well as their rude ones.

In case I decide after the 7:15 dinner show to stop by the CR before moving on the ASSports via the MK, does anyone have the time that the last boat from FW heads over to CR?? :confused3

Hey everyone...thanks for this info. We are doing the first showing...and it's good to know that we WON'T have buses. I was considering going to DTD for a short while and catching a bus from there to AKL.

Hey Folks;

Just to clarify...from my post #6 above...

We WERE at the First (5:30pm) show...

My dismeet was for 8pm at SAB/BC.....

And there was a bus available.... But perhaps this was just an anomaly...or perhaps only ONE Bus was offered and that is why the bus driver instructed us to take the boats.....

Hugs,
Mary

2yrs ago 7:15 show, bus to AllStars stopped at CS first. There were only 4 people that needed to go to CS but wow we made all 6 stops in there. I thought and people complain about AllStars sometimes sharing. It took less time to unload at AllStars then at CS.

We went to the 7:15 show a few weeks ago. I wish we had just taken the boat back to MK and then the bus back to the Beach Club where we were staying. I'm sure that would have been quicker.

We waited on the bus for a very long time before we left. Then we stopped at many other places before getting to BC (POP, CBR, and a few others). We didn't get back up to our room until around 10:45.

What aggravated me is that the bus driver didn't say one word the whole time. It was so dark too that I hardly recognized our resort once we did get there. We had no idea which hotels we were going to and no announcement was made when we stopped at one.

There was also a bus waiting for us to go back to Pop when we went last year. We did the middle show. It was great--not sure why you'd take a cab, when it was the easiest thing in the world to walk and sit down on a bus. :)
