After the cruise...

Yeah guess so

Would anyway actually pick Norway or doing the med cruise again over a carribean cruise ?

Yeah I totally agree with that but all these extras are turning into thousands lol

And now is room stay and taxis as we don't want to sit at the airport all day

When will the list of expenses end lol

A week in Florida and a week on the cruise must be costing about 6 and a half thousand and my partner thinks am nuts getting lol

Yeeeeeop, money also had its say as to why we did not stay longer in Puerto Rico! :) I will say we spent close to or a little over that to pull off three weeks in your neck of the woods last year too though - I had different priorities on my mind!

My partner is starting to think we shoul do Europe cruise to cut costs as we are in UK

But the problem with that is it would be Norway which could rain and we defo want some sun after this winter or the med cruise but we already done that one last year

What would you do ??

Well it can rain anywhere but I won't be going to Norway looking for sunshine that is for sure! Personally going on what little you have said to me I'd go to Florida for a week, silly or not. Its what you want and that is what is in your budget and it even sounds like you already purchased airfare if you are definitely flying out at 7pm! What the poster below me said is more "fun", but I am not sure if you have that flexibility or not. FWIW DCL transfers are the same cost to the airport or WDW and your ride from the resort to the airport would be free on Magical Express so its kind of a wash on that cost. The next day they'll get you to the airport at a more reasonable time for your flight (and the hotel will gladly hold your bags until its time to go if you are their guest).

Sitting in the airport would cost you nothing (besides what you would spend on food) but yes it is boring. If you want to do anything else, you have to pay.

Being from the UK, I would assume you don't want to rent a car.

I'd fly out a day later and spend a night at WDW. Let DCL transfer you to your WDW resort ($35 PP for transfers). Spend the night and then let Disney transfer you to MCO (free).

I'd pick Norway - mostly because we haven't gone there yet. We're still in the "looking to do new itineraries" phase of cruising.

Well the cruise is booked and the flight would get booked in 13 days time when it comes out. But I called and all there flights back seem to be at 7pm so I expect it to be the same there saying

It's all about trying to save a few quid with things now before it turns out to be to costly.

Not a bad idea the extra day at Disney after if transfers to the airport are free and I would still have a day left on my pass

Transfers from the port to the Disney resort are NOT free. They are $35 per person.

Transport from the Disney resort to the airport is free.

Disney transfer is same price whether from Port to Airport or Port to Resort. If you can do the day after you would have all of your port arrival day and most the next day at WDW before catching the DME to the airport.

If I stay at a hilton hotel

How much would a shuttle from universal to the port be and do they go the night before

I've never heard of a shuttle from Universal Studio hotels to the port. Generally "shuttles" are run the day necessary (from hotel to port) not on random other days.

I don't know if the Hilton has a shuttle service, you'd have to contact them to find out.

I was going to suggest that you use the $119 for the Hyatt day room to change your airfare to an earlier (more expensive?) flight, but it sounds like there aren't any.

How many people are in your party? At $35 per person each way, you might prefer private transportation. Many companies do 3 stops. You could arrange private transport from airport/airport hotel to port, then port to Studios hotel, then hotel to airport. The lower ground cost plus not having to get a day room might work in your favor.

If you are trying to save $, a WDW value hotel and using a leftover day on your ticket is under $100 extra vs. going straight to the airport and you get another day at WDW. Univ. would cost you extra taxi and a 1 day ticket is about $100 extra. It would be too rushed to get to Univ and then get back to airport by 4pm for your flight. WDW hotel to airport is free and you can check your bags with the hotel for the day after you check out. For a 7pm flight to the UK, you need to be at the airport by 4, 4:30 at the latest, so the WDW bus would pick you up at about 3-3:30pm.

FL Tours and Happy Limos for sure. I used FL Tours last summer and was very pleased with their service. We did a resort stay before the cruise, but it was very convenient to just have one set of transportation to worry about and have it all in one price.

You can't take the DCL transfers to WDW, unless you have a resort reservation. It's not a sort of hop-on, hop-off shuttle. I don't believe that either DCL transfers or Magical Express (two different entities) have any sort of luggage holding.
thanks Schmoo. You are quick on the post. I actually just edited my post (tried to delete) bc I see that it was just going to confuse things...

This sounds like a plan. Would actually give me two extra days in the theme park as it would only cost 20 dollars to get that extra day ticket

Just going to go for it with two days at the park

It's costing about 8000 dollars this trip

Surely I must be mad

Hey

Just been sorting out trip arrangements and decided to stay at the double tree cocoa beach the night before the cruise

Is this a good hotel that's close to that port and not to much in a taxi for when we go to the ship

Is there much to do there the day before the cruise

And what's the cheapest I could get a transfer from universal to here for. Roughly ?

Then after the cruise we are going to do the day at the Hyatt. How do I go about just booking a day there and is there other hotels at airport to pick from for the day ?
