After Thanksgiving 2008 - Not Value?

I was on the phone with a Disney Rep the other day to ask a couple of questions before we arrive (Nov. 24th - Dec. 1st), and she mentioned that starting next year the week after Thanksgiving was not going to be a value season anymore. Anyone else hear this? I guess that week is getting enough action to not warrant a discount to fill the parks.

I wouldn't be surprised.. Disney has made so many changes lately - most of which is bringing in more money for them..

Well since they have already released the prices and season dates for next year, she is wrong.

November 30th starts value season in 2008 which is the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Same as it has been for quite a while.

Not to say they can't change it but I am thinking they probably won't.

Interesting!

Good thing we're going this year then! We'll also be arrving Nov 24-Dec l

Split stay SOG/Pop.

I just checked the Orlando weather for that week, and it looks warm plus no rain. We'll see.

My dates are Nov. 26th thru Dec. 4th - doing MVMCP on Tuesday, the 27th.. The other day they were showing rain for the 27th - now just cloudy.. Keepin' my fingers crossed! :)

disney changed them before after releasing dates - so no guaranteeds.

boy they sure have gotten mean on the value dates.

anyone else remember when the middle of Aug until the middle of Feb was value season - with the expection of Christmas to NY (always been peak)

oh well - means that Disney is getting better at getting people to stay the entire year - instead of just spring break (middle of feb til middle of april), summer, christmas to ny.

but definitely hard of us who want a discount.

I wouldnt be surprised if they changed this again... I am hoping that they come out w/ great discount deals because thats when we are planning to go! :headache:

It would not shock me if they make the first week of December regular season next year. It has become a very popular week and if Disney thinks they can get more $$$ for it then they will.

We are also going next week (how good does it feel to say that :yay:) Nov 24 - Dec 1. I think what will help this year is that Thanksgiving is so early this year giving a full week between the Thanksgiving crowds and the first week of December.
