I hope this isn't a dumb question, but where do you get after hours tickets? I haven't ever purchased them before. I found the website with dates and prices, but no info on how to purchase tickets.

Thanks!

They don't go on sale until October 4th (resort guests) or October 7th (everyone else). There will be a link on the event pages once they're on sale.

ah, ok, so they are not getting rid of the EEH, correct?

I am going to Boardwalk in Feb 2023 (my first deluxe resort) just to take advantage of that
They haven't announced the EEH schedule for Jan/Feb yet, but they haven't indicated it's ending, so I assume it'll still be happening.

MK EEH is usually Wednesday night, and the MK After Hours events are all scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays, so it wouldn't conflict.

Can you please clarify what you mean by 'After Hours Tickets'?
I don't know if it's what used to be Moonlight Magic, but it is actually being called Disney After Hours and they are starting in January for MK and HS. A separate ticket, after park closing event like Christmas Parties without the parades.

We happen to have a trip booked. I'm trying to decided if we should do this or visit the park the day of for lower wait times.

Of course there is no HS one the week I am there (March 1)! Have never done one there so would have bought that. There is an MK one my week, I may buy if it is available on Oct 7 since I have limited time (offsite, doing some Universal days also)

well, but this has been going on for a while now right?? I don't see Disney ending that, they just don't release that early.

DEEH was announced as being part of the 50th Anniversary celebration which ends March 31, so assumptions (not confirmed) are that they’ll continue through the end of March. Disney hasn’t said so, though.

As Carolyn said they were announced part of 50th Anniversary so no they have not been going on very long in the greater scheme. But they also did not announce that it would continue the whole celebration either. I mean they do that kind of stuff to fill rooms, don't think it's a problem anymore.

Given they have brought back After Hours for the first time ... it would not surprise me if deluxe hours ended in 2022. As with all things Disney nothing is guaranteed, in fine print.

really?? I thought that was a long time perk. So what was the advantage of staying at Deluxe hotels prior to 50th ???

As far as access to the parks, nothing!

People paid to stay Deluxe for location, larger rooms, better amenities such as pools, dining, inside hallways, etc. as HopperFan pointed out, Disney was having trouble filling the Deluxe resorts, so they created DEEH as an incentive for people to pay those room rates.

PS prior to COVID-19, Deluxe guests got the same extended park hours as all other Disney resort guests got.

so, my point was that there WAS extended park hours prior to the 50th,, just not exclusive to deluxe, correct?

also, I am going in Feb 2023, the 50th celebration is supposed to run tunil MArch 2023. Please!!!

Correct!

And we’re going in January, so I hope DEEH continue into early 2023 as well!

Moonlight Magic is an occasIonal free event for DVC members. Disney After Hours started several years before Covid closures. It has always been a paid event, normally held January to March, sometimes even past that.
