After Hours Events - Ask Questions and Share Experiences Here

I would do the AH at HS. I think you would get so much more done. If you have park hoppers you could change your plans and start at Epcot then hop over to HS around dinner and stay for the AH. Either way, have fun!!! I’m sure your husband will love “Star Wars Land”.
We always do Epcot on our arrival day, so we will be there the day before (early flight). We have 5-day Parkhoppers, so there's a good amount of time to get things done, but this is the first time we can make real use of the late-night hours and I want to make the best of it. I am much more worried about getting lots of Star Wars time than my teens, but they are much more relaxed about vacations! Husband just is along for the ride as long as he gets his Footgolf in.

Got it! In my experience, which is limited, I have found that with AH we got a lot more done with less of a wait than EEH. Not sure if that helps you to decide. IMO EEH can still be pretty busy with longer waits. The longest we waited for a top tier ride at AH was 40min. Hope that helps.

So I could use some guidance. For our trip this coming June, I'll be traveling with my husband and two boys, ages 17 and 15, and we have Parkhoppers. Husband wasn't able to join us for our trip in June 2022 so he still hasn't seen what my kids call "Star Wars Land" and they are very excited to show it to him. I was planning on spending the day on June 25 (a Wednesday) at HS. It will be our first full day of vacation, and we will be at Boardwalk so we can get there early. That night we could do an AH at HS or we could go to the EEH at MK that night instead. Obviously going to MK will be cheaper, and it might be a nice change of scenery. But there is also so much to do at HS including the important Star Wars stuff! How do you think the crowds and experience will differ on the same Wednesday night between EEH at MK and AH at HS?

Either way, the next day was going to be our rest day so we can sleep in with no worries.

I had to make the same decision for my trip later this month. AH won out again for us. I find that it's the best way for us to enjoy HS. We made the same choice last year with no regrets. I have done MK EEH before and it's fine, but it's just not the same vibe as a true AH event.

EEH at MK is absolutely awesome, but AH is like EEH on steroids lol. It’s longer, emptier, with lower waits. Both are awesome though. I’ve only done AH at MK but I’m sure it’s awesome at HS too, and if you have a lot you want to get done there I’d go with that. Or just enjoy the free EEH at MK and spend the money saved elsewhere.

Having been going to AH at MK fairly regularly over the years, I do not find an 11 min wait for Pooh or 30 min wait for Mine Train to be much out of line from what I have seen. People without bracelets hanging around is disappointing, were they checking for them at the rides at least?
We attended an AH in early April at MK. There were tons of non party guests enjoying Enchantment, trying to get the free snacks and shopping. For some reason, we never saw a Cast Member Party Wall for wrist band checks. This was disappointing. We were able to ride more before the party stared than during the party.

I went to the AH at HS on May 14th. I saw quite a few people without bands helping themselves to drinks and popcorn that were just lined up on top of counter so people could just walk by and grab. There were a few CMs that were checking bands as you entered the different areas but I walked into Toy Story land at 10:00 pm and I was not asked to show my band. I also entered TSM line 3X and was not asked to show my band. Next party on 6/11 I plan to take photos of people without bands reaching for snacks and post them. I will also point out to CMs at the snack stands. I just think it’s unfair to those of us actually paying for the experience.

Will Disney add AH events at either Epcot or HS for Oct/Nov? Going then and love the AH events when I can catch them.

I was also at the May 14th party at HS. We were asked to show our bands every time we walked into or out of Galaxy’s Edge from either the Baseline entrance or the Toy Story entrance but never had to show our bands in the Hollywood Blvd area. We had to show our wrist bands for every ride except for the ones in TS land. I never thought about it until you posted, but there was no checking in that area for rides or food or leaving/entering via the Walt Disney Presents route. Pretty sure we were never checked while getting treats.

Yes I was only in the TS area as TSM is the only ride I can do. I was disappointed to see people with no bands.

They should let people waste their time walking the queue, then at the merge kick them out through the LL if they have no wristbands. Get their info from their magic bands and use it to make sure they always get the worst rooms at the hotels, their LLs mysteriously change to terrible times, and their meals are overcooked.
