after cruise

any suggestions for what to do after 3/4 land sea. we will be
in cat-1 and get off the ship on thursday and due to great
airline rate not flying back till friday at 3:00. the 3 days prior
to the cruise will be at grand floridian. my wife & I have 3
kids 3, 8, and 10. any ideas for things other than disney, would
be greatly appreciated.

have you considered universal studios or sea world?

I'd rent a car, go to the beach, relax, have lunch with Shirley, and visit Ron Jon. With all the time you need to allow at the airport, the day will fly by much faster than you expect, and far sooner than you would feel justified to spend the big bucks to visit one of the parks (Disney or otherwise).

We love Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, and Sea World, but we think it takes more than a day to do each park well. What about the Kennedy Space Center? Or one of the Water Parks in Orlando...there are several...Disney has some, and there is one owned by SeaWorld -Wet-N-Wild. All these things do cost some money though. International drive in Orlando near Universal is full of tourist stuff-Ripley's Believe it or Not, Discovery Science Museum, ETC. If you haven't done the Space Center-NASA-it is very near the Port...it is doable in one day, but does cost and can be a long day with younger kids, but it is fascinating.

Do they still have the buy one day, get the second free at SeaWorld? You could go Thurs. - get there around 11, tour around, stay somewhere close by for the night, spend Friday morning there, and then go to the airport.

Sea World would be my choice with kids that age. Also, there's a really nice, brand-new Hilton very close to Sea World with very reasonable rates (I think about $75 per night.) I stayed there last year while attending a conference at the convention centre. It think there's even a shuttle that will take you to the park & back. I believe it may even be considered Hilton/Sea World.
