After Closing...

Our closing date should be any day now on our AKV point purchase. As a new owner, I'm curious, if after we 'officially' become members when all the paperwork is done, does DVC send you any goodies ie. a welcome t-shirt or anything else?

We closed weeks ago and the only goodies we got were at the original closing at Disney. We got a DVC tote bag.

When you buy direct from Disney you will get a tote bag with the DVC logo on it and occationally we get other little "gifts" like a DVC license plate etc.

We bought directly from Disney. We received our tote bag that day and the thick cardboard type info book containing the neccesary papers and members' guide.

i bought a resale i know we aren't going to receive a tote bag but
does disney send us anything like a booklet that explaines how the
dvc works??

I was told i would get this cool mickey ears box I saw at Doorway to Dreams. I am going to be so bummed if i don't get that when I sign up!

Sorry, we closed with the Doorway to Dreams and did not receive the mickey ears box (I did see it there and it is cool!)

We received the mickey ears box with our add on last month - it just contains all the paper work. we did receive another tote (one with each purchase so now I have a few ), but we did purchase direct through disney. you can call merchandising and see if you can purchase one, the dvc resorts carry dvc merchandise. the number for merchandising is 1-407-363-6200 - good luck (they make great beach bags!)

We just went through the process, and closed, and received the tote as the others have suggested (along with the folder/box to keep all the paperwork in).
