After Christmas Sales

We went to three stores but bought very little.
There didnt seem to be much out there this year.

Not Macy's thats for sure. I had a 50 dollar gift card with a coupon for 10 dollars off any sale or clearance marked item with an extra 15 percent off for using a gift card. There were absolutely no shirts in Jrs that I wanted to buy on sale. I ended up getting nothing there and just coming home. I was not out looking for marked down christmas decor and wrapping paper so I was out of luck.

I went to a Hallmark store early this morning and bought paper, gift tags and gift bags at 50% off. The only other shopping I have done is online today. I LOVE Crate and Barrell and bought some cool glitter candles, snowflake appetizer plates, napkins, holiday tablecloth, etc., for at least 50% off. Their after Christmas sales are great!

I got some Williams-Sonoma Peppermint Bark for 50% off ($12.99 a box). OK, it's still pretty expensive, but it is sooooo good. I bought three boxes!

I went to Ann Taylor Loft, and I had 2 $25 off when you spend $50, and they were having a bit of a sale as well. I got a pair of jeans, 2 sweaters, and 2 pairs of socks for $100, but then with the 2 cards, I only paid $50.

Also got a pair of shoes from DSW for $10, marked down from $35. Got an XOXO watch from Filene's Basement for $20. But nothing really outstanding.

I was mostly looking for Disney Christmas items and I think I did really well... at Wal-Mart I got a standing stuffed Mickey that is about 2 1/2 feet tall for $9.95. He's wearing a red suit and hat, very cute!

At Kohl's I found a Hallmark Disney ornament for 50% off, and it was the one I wanted. I always pick one out earlier in December and then wait to buy it when it goes on sale after Christmas. It is the Capt. Hook and crocodile one, and I got it for $7.50.

At Penny's I got a set of 4 bulb Disney ornaments that were 75% off they were $25.99 to start. I also got a Toy Story ornament for $1.99 there too.

I also found a daily Disney calendar that was 50% off.

DD went along and had two gift cards to use, one for Old Navy and another for Bath and Body. She could not find anything at either place so we will be going back again sometime.

Hey, not fair! I went to a Hallmark store and the Christmas stuff was marked down 40%. It seemed odd to me because I figured it would all be 50% off. Not that it stopped me from purchasing a few ornaments and Yankee candles, but 50% off would have been better!
