After a day at AK

At AK, Yak & Yeti is good.

If you're looking for a good CS place, The Mara at AKL is good.

Boma has a great kid's buffet area with 'normal' food and then there are plenty of things they might want to try. There's also great desserts and AKL to explore, always fun.

Sanaa, also at AKL (in Kidani), is EXCELLENT!! One of our absolute favorites! The tandoori dishes are good for picky eaters and the kids menu has typical fare.

Since AK is usually a shorter day for us, we usually do Yak & Yeti for lunch and have a slightly later dinner at a resort, like Yachtsman or Ohana's or something.

We LOVE Yak & Yeti! The last time we went to AK we had lunch there and it will now be on each and every one of our trips.

We almost always do Downtown Disney on our AK days. It's a little bit of travel time, but we like going then since our Ak days are shorter and there are no fireworks at that park.

Same here! The last time we went to AK, we ate lunch at Yak & Yeti, went to DTD after and then ordered a pizza when we got back to our resort. No one was hungry when we are at DTD.

I love Boma. It's one of my favorite restaurants on property, primarily because it's unique. Almost everything on the buffet is wonderful, particularly the soup bar, which is worth the cost of the meal.

There is a temptation to recommend dinner at the Animal Kingdom Lodge after a day at the Animal Kingdom park because they are close to each other. My family usually schedules Boma on our Animal Kingdom day, too. But there is really no reason you have to plan it that way. From the Animal Kingdom park you are a short bus ride away from any resort, so you have plenty of restaurant choices. Boma (or Sanaa, also at the Animal Kingdom Lodge) just seems fitting because it's consistent with the theme of the day.

Boma is very good and I would also consider Tusker house in AK for dinner. They have a full buffet and my family loved it.

I normally do lunch at Flame Tree BBQ and then dinner at a resort or PI. This year we're going to have dinner at Yachtman's Steakhouse after AK.

On AK days for us, it's really a short park day. We start with a Tusker House ADR's at anywhere 8-8:30, we have a great buffet breakfast. I check in, run and go get fast passes for the safari (5 minutes away), go back and have a leisurely breakfast and then we head of to the safari. With a substantial breakfast and a few snacks we skip lunch and then usually leave the park around 2 to 3pm having done all that we enjoy.

As far as Boma, we love it, DS(13) has always loved it, same with our nieces and nephews from 2 to 10. They have African dishes, soups, salads and dressings for the adventurous eaters both adult and children alike and then they have your typical American fare, beef roast, chicken nuggets, spaguetty , pizza, french dries for the not so, adventurous eaters. The food is fresh and flavorfull, we love it but only you know what your family likes and dislikes. My only complaint was when DS turned 10 he became an adult and was charged full price, of course then he ate very little, now at 13, 5'11 he gets his fill and I don't object to the pricing as much.
