What do you do about dinner? Is there a good place for lunch with kids on the plan???? I love Rainforest but it is not on the plan. What do you think about BOMA for kids?

Since AK is usually a shorter day for us, we usually do Yak & Yeti for lunch and have a slightly later dinner at a resort, like Yachtsman or Ohana's or something.

Boma is very good, we had mixed reviews, my very picky DS did not like it to much, my DD loved it. So it depends on the kids.

This year we are doing lunch @ Yak and Yeti and I am very excited to try and so it my DD she loves potstickers and wontons. DS, I donot base my dining on him anymore because he it so picky, I would only be eating CS for chicken strips!!

If your big meal for the day will be lunch I would go to Tusker House. If you are making dinner the big meal of the day I would go to Boma in the AKL. The food is the best on property IMO and there is a lot to see in the lobby and the resort.

I would continue with the theme of the day and head over to Boma. Different food - but definately wonderful - and great desserts.

Linda

I just checked we have a Ohana and a 1900 on our AK days, any of the ones at resorts were easy to get to we found

We usually do Boma on our AK days. There is just something special about walking through the lodge doors and seeing the beautiful lobby and smelling the wonderful aromas from Boma and Jiko. It just seems to be the perfect way to end the day.

I have an AK day planned (5/5) for our upcoming trip. Staying at AKV so we will have breakfast at Tusker and Dinner at Boma that evening. Then we will go DHS to see Fantasmic at 9pm

We always do Yat+Yeti cs or Flame Tree for lunch the head to Boma for dinner. It' so nice to walk around AKL and check out thwe animals, then head to dinner at Boma. My kids really like the food, but they also have standard kid's bufffet fare. Totally worth the trip, the soups are so good and I :lovestruc zebra domes and pinapple cheesecake.

I am planning Flame Tree for lunch on AK day and 1900 Park Fare for our dinner that day. Since we are staying at the CR I figure it will just be a quick ride over to GF for that ressie.

I'd definitely go to Boma. It's such a wonderful end to an AK day. The lodge is beautiful and the food is our favorite meal by far.

We almost always do Downtown Disney on our AK days. It's a little bit of travel time, but we like going then since our Ak days are shorter and there are no fireworks at that park.

We usually do the Yachtsman. Because it is a shorter day we go back and change and then head over to the Yacht Club.

I think AK needs to add another table service...but since they do not we are trying Tusker House for lunch this time and then dinner at our hotel. We have in the past went to downtown disney for dinner too.

We usually do Boma after a day at AK. My DS loves the food and the zebra domes. The food is really good. It is also nice to just walk around the hotel and relax at some of the viewing areas.

:laundy:

We have an 8 am ressie for Tusker House, so we're going to give Yak and Yeti a go for dinner at 6:30. Last time we went to AK for evening EMH so we had dinner at the resort food court and then went back to play.

My girls 5 and 7 loved Boma. They have been twice. Both of them plus DH requested it for our second trip. Both girls have added it to their lists of restaurants for our next trip. Mind you, its not for 3 years. I've done my job well with them. :)
