I have a convention ticket for one park after 4pm on 7/19 and also a park hopper on 7/20. During the 1.5 days, I have decided to try to see all 4 parks based on advice in another thread, but am stuck on my first day game plan. Solo traveler who needs no sleep
I will probably not be able to arrive at either park earlier than 6pm.
7/19 is EMH (morning) for DHS.
7/20 is EMH (evening at MK) so planning on waiting for MK until 7/20 which is why I haven't listed it as an option for 7/19 and obviously AK not an option since it closes early...
So, opinions need (and I realize they will vary) on which park for after ~6p on 7/19.
I do love both thrill rides (DHS) and also all the cultural and science aspects of Ecpot (not to mention drinking round the world sounds fun).
Pros/Cons of choosing DHS (not ordered)
1. *Open until 10pm (an hour longer than Ecpot) so more time in the park
2. Has thrill rides that I like
3. *If I go on 7/19, I can probably skip it on 7/20 and then only hop at 3 parks on 7/20
4. Can stay for night show Fantasmic and have more time in DHS than if I just parkhopped on 7/20
5. I don't think I get FP+ on after 4p ticket so might have long wait times
6. Crowds expected to be higher due to emh
Pros/Cons of choosing Epcot
1. *Would be able to spend evening drinking/eating around the world and soaking in Epcot - probably more relaxed than DHS. More time in Epcot vs. just part day on 7/20
2. Will be able to see Illuminations
3. *I would still need to park hop at all 4 parks on 7/20 since Innovations and much of Future World closes at 7. And that travel takes up valuable inside park time vs. only hopping to 3 on if I chose DHS
