I am really looking hard at aft extended verandah for a 7 night eastern on the Fantasy. Is there really a seasickness issue at that location? And there is availability on decks 6,8 and 10. It will just be DH and I, no kids. I am leaning toward deck 8 because of the "noise" some people mention from Cabanas. Any opinions?

Our favorite is deck 9 (cabin 9174). We had deck 6 once (6690), which was fine while at sea, but when the arrive in port, they put the flag up and it flaps in your face and block your view from your verandah.

ETA....we don't find any issues with noise or motion in cabin 9174....

Deck 6 has the flag in the middle since this is where the pole is located. Deck 10 has cabanas above. Deck 8 seems to have neither of those issues. The sea sickness motion is slightly amplified at the far front and back of the ship as well as the higher you go. There are countless other threads on dealing with sea sickness. Have a fun time, the Fantasy 7 days are great.

We've been on 8 three times and will be a 4th in a couple months. We find 8 to be really good for us - 3 decks up to 11 for cabanas and the pool deck, 4 decks down to 4 for the lounges (kids clubs would be convenient 3 decks down if you have younger kids). We take the stairs everywhere - I think we've only been in the elevator maybe twice in 3 cruises.

Deck 10 on Dream had extended decks. We heard little noise in our experience.
