African Margarita

Yes, I do wonder about that "Souvenier Mug" thing. And I wonder if you have the option of no souvenir mug. The last time I was there, I got (I think it was) the Shangri-la Berry Cooler. It came in a paper cup with a paper drinking straw-cost me about $4 less, and I think it was just a few months ago. It used to be a great place to just hang out and watch the afternoon parade. Now I wonder-besides, no parade to watch.

I was there today and snapped this pic :/

Thank you for taking the time to take and post the photo. So appreciate getting the information ahead of time to know what to expect.

Thanks so much for posting that picture!! The lines were so long that I didn't see the "In a souvenir mug" line :) Just the big glaring 14.75

I have to chuckle at price increase posts. Not because they are funny but because there's one thing most posters don't realize. Nothing, and I mean, nothing, can get to Disney World unless it is on a truck. yes, you can fly things there and yes, you can train things there, and yes, you can ship things there, but once it's at whatever port of destination, it needs to go on a truck. Anyone see the latest prices for a truck to travel? I know we are all hit hard at the gas pumps but look at the diesel prices. That mans the cost of getting those products to Disney World have increased and the World need to increase prices to the consumer, which is us. Same reason grocery prices have increased. Blaming Disney World seems not to be the best solution.

Hey everyone. Just an update on the Margarita. I was at Animal Kingdom today and I can confirm that YES you can still get the African Margarita for it's old price.

The $14.75 price is the price with the souvenir mug. You can still get it without the mug for $8.50. They don't advertise the price without the mug, but it's available.

Thanks Adam. And all was right with the world...

At Cava in Epcot my margaritas were still around $13? But they're free poured and kind of specialty so I figure they're work the $$$ I seriously doubt they'll be that price for long.

I've read on these boards that there are no more "free poured" margies anywhere. Everything is supposedly premixed. Can anyone confirm that they have seen actual hand made margies anywhere anymore?:confused3

Wait, I still need to know what is in an African Margarita! I'll be visiting in a few weeks, and that could be on the To Do List!! Can somebody fill me in?
