We will be arriving at MCO late in the evening the day before we cruise and hoping to get on the very first DCL bus the following morning. We planned to stay at the Hyatt for the sake of convenience, but I just checked the rates and it's an outrageous amount of money (over $200 with taxes) to pay for a bed. They have a very reasonable rate for government workers and seniors but we don't qualify for either. Does anyone know of a discount code we may be able to use to get the price down?
Thanks for any help!

AAA sometimes has it at a more reasonable price.

I would call the resort directly and ask what their best rate that you qualify for is - and what you need to get it.

We were on the 1/24 cruise and stayed at MCO Hyatt the night before for $25 through Hotwire. If you go over to the cruise board and either do a search or go back to about the middle of November, there was an extensive thread on how to get the deal at the Hyatt. I don't think it's offered all the time so you have to watch Hotwire. Good luck!

Just looked this up - see if it helps!

Hi Jeanne!
How about trying Priceline - use this website to get an idea what could come up.

I am going to do this for our Oct trip - even if we don't get the Hyatt, most of the rest have shuttles that come very quickly. However with Hotwire (even though it costs a few dollars more) you can be more sure what you are going to get.
Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I just checked Hotwire and they are not offering the Hyatt at all at the moment......guess I'll have to keep checking.
I've never used Priceline, but I guess there's always a first time for everything.

Mishoe01: the evening in question is Friday 10/1/04

wendym: you find me everywhere, girl! Where are you going in Oct?

You could do a 3* Priceline bid in the MCO area...frequently the Hyatt comes up that way for $40/night or less....even if you don't get the Hyatt you would get either the HI Select, Marriott or Renaissance (very rarely the Sheraton Suites or Crowne Plaza come up in that category also)....all are nice and have complimentary shuttles that run 24/7. We got the Hyatt in the airport for $38/night for our late arrival night in April.

I honestly don't think being in the airport vs.one of the off site places is any advantage. We have found the rooms to be larger at all of the off site Priceline 3* places, the shuttle service has always been prompt (you call for the shuttle from the courtesy phones in baggage claim and they tell you where to meet them and they arrive by the time you get there and it is a 2 minute drive to the hotel front door), then you can hop back on the shuttle the next AM and they run you back to whatever drop off you want...no hassle. The Hyatt has a psychological advantage (it is really nice to think about grabbing your bags and going straight to your room), but the reality is, we always seem to have flights that land in the other terminal, so it is quite a hike back to the hotel desk, and takes every bit as long as hopping the shuttle to one of the off site places...either way it is one of Pricelines best bargains for $40/night or less.
