I took my dd(6) for her birthday in February. We had a 9:45 PS ressie for breakfast, and DCA opens it's gates at 9:30 with Soarin as the only attraction open for the first half-hour until official park opening at 10 am. We were directed to walk around the Condor Flats/Redwood Creek path to the Pier where we checked in. We got little pagers and they buzzed us when it was our turn to walk down the staircase to greet Ariel (with legs) and have photos taken by a CM (which they will try to sell you later for BIG bucks). Then we were seated at a small table. They brang out drinks and then first course was a three tiered platter including breakfast breads, cheeses/salami, and fruit. Second course was eggs, sausage, bacon and potatoes. The announced the princesses one at a time about 10 minutes apart so that they can make their tour around the room. We saw Cinderella, Aurora, Belle and Snow White. I'm not a huge fan of character meals to begin with, but we felt this was a great way to meet the princesses without having to wait at the PFFT for a huge amt of time.
Hope that helps.
