Need advise. I have bought us 2-day, 1-park tickets for Dec 21-22.

Most of us 5-A, 1-C (6yrs) want to do Disneyland both days. One "Mom" wants to do both parks.
I think it will be so crowded that to do Elsa-Anna Meet & Greet, rides and some shows, Fantastic, parade etc we will need both days for Disneyland. What do you think?

Have you ever been to DCA?
I guess it depends on what you like. For me, DCA is a must. There is just too much to do. Can you upgarde to hoppers and do at least half a day there?

I always get a park hopper when I go. During our last trip we started off at DL. The second day we began our day at DCA.

I would upgrade to park hoppers and then jump back and forth. Carsland in DCA is a must do as well as World of Color.

We have AP but went with some friends who got one park a day tickets. We did Dl and then the next day we did Dca they liked Dca and wished they would have done the park hopper. I would do the park hopper. Have fun!

Thank you all.
Yes, we have all been to DCA. Upgrading to a park hopper is not an option for us.
It seems 1 day is not enough for Disneyland. Also, spending an entire day - opening to closing in only DCA may not work. I guess we should compare the number of rides, that may help. Maybe I am just a Disneyland Fan. ;)

Also, it isn't something you have to decide until you enter on the 2nd day. If the crew decides they're done with DL after the first day after all you can decide morning of if you want to spend the 2nd day in DCA or if there are still rides leftover in DL you can make the call then. Do that research now but maybe approach it all by seeing if the crew is simply willing to keep an open mind about day 2 until night of day 1/morning of day 2.

If I only had the option of 2 days at DLR I would without a doubt go to DL both days. DCA is a nice 2nd park but with only 2 days I would not spend a whole day at DCA.

Thank you all.

Every time we do this we have the full intent of doing one day at DL and the other at DCA. And then we decide to go to DL twice. To this date have never been to DCA (although we have been to the World a few time).

My advice would be to get a park hopper. And if we couldn't afford that...I'd honestly try my hardest to take something else out of our budget to make money for it. Or save up a couple hundred more bucks. Because it's so worth it.

But if none of those things were possible, then I guess I'd just wait until day 2 and decide if we want to go to Disneyland again or to California Adventure.

With it being a very busy time, I would guess you'll end up wanting more time in Disneyland.

Stick with one park per day if you are not familiar with the parks.
If you go a third day then make that the park hop day.

If most of you want to do DL both days then you should probably just do DL both days. With 2 whole days, it is kinda hard to imagine spending an entire day in DCA.

You have all given great advise. Without a park hopper then I think Disneyland 2 days is good due to large crowds. But who knows what they will do when that Disney Excitement takes over!

We went for 2 days and elected to spend one at DL and one at DCA. We got a ton of stuff done! Will do it same way again next visit.

Anna and Elsa will be having their meet and greet in DCA starting on December 20th.

There is more to do for kids at DL than DCA. With two days at DL, you can have more of a relaxed pace. In fact, you could probably get all of DL park done! I recommend just DL for this visit, that way, you will be less stressed out and more relaxed.

Definitely DL 2 days. I love DCA and all, but I don't think I could spend an entire day there. When we had APs, we would typically spend no more than 4-5 hours there at a time, even when it was crowded and lines were longer. DL on the other hand....easily a whole day. Easily two whole days, in fact!

I agree with most of the others if you can get hoppers do half a day at DCA (a morning where you can get Cars Land out of the way). There were a few rides we liked at DCA but we enjoyed DL a lot more and our DCA day was very laid back; so if you can't upgrade than 2 days at DL.
