Advise me on the crowd levels, situations for the latter part of the first week in February. Looking at 2/3-2/7, arriving early on the 3rd and doing a park each day. Crowds, tour groups, ect. We will be staying deluxe if we go during that time frame, to avoid tour groups at our resort. I know the weather can be iffy.

We went this past February during the last week. Crowds were ok. Saw just one tour group while we were there on our AK day. Weather was a mixed bag, but overall good. But the prices are so much lower during the first week in February, and we will have more options in the hotel choices. The last week we will have fewer choices, as the prices are higher. We will be a party of 5.

But my main concern will be the crowd levels at the parks.

Subscribing as we awe thinking of these dates also. Have never been this time of year.

Nothing to worry about. Crowds in the beginning of February are lower than at the end. So if you were OK with the crowds on your prior trip, you will be even happier on your next trip. Easter is early this year so that moves Mardi Gras into your week. That will raise crowds a bit.

Weather on the other hand, is even "iffier". Could be 45. Could be 80. Could rain. Could be dry.

Mardi Gra is on the 9th I think, we leave mid-afternoon on the 7th.

We were there 2 years ago 2/7 to 2/16 and crowds were awesomely low up until Presidents' Day weekend. However we didn't find it pool weather which for us was a bummer

We went Jan 22-29 in 2014, crowds were super low. Weather was pretty cold, we had a jacket at all times (but it was much better than my Canadian home). Some rides were closed. It's cheaper too. Pretty sure it's my favorite time to go, we're planning to go back the same dates in 2016 :)

But keep in mind that Mardi Gras isn't just a day for most people who travel. "Fat Tuesday" typically means that the vacationers will be at WDW over the weekend with you.

Traveled twice during that time. Expect low crowds and easy park navigation. We had great weather both times...warm enough to swim but not get overheated in parks. Enjoy!

Hmmmmm

We are booked January 30 - February 6 2016. All of the crowd calendars I have seen (preliminary) don't have the Mardi Gras crowds coming until the 7th and after. First time to WDW was January 26 - January 31 2015 and we loved it!

We went a few years ago when Mardi Gras was Feb. 2nd. Even though it was Mardi Gras week, and we knew many people who visited, the crowds were still very low. Most of the country still has work and school. The Mardi Gras visitors don't affect park attendance that much, except when Mardi Gras coincides with President's Week.

First week in February is a great time to go!

My mom and I are booked for 1/30 through 2/7 for our first trip. I'm glad to hear that crowds (and hopefully lines) should be low. Hopefully, with Mardi Gras that weekend, ride closures might not be as bad?

We're planning on packing a little bit of everything for clothes.
