Hi...this will be our first time down to Universal. I am looking at staying at Hard Rock Hotel, can anyone give me some advise as to what room to request ? Garden or Pool view ? Can you see the fireworks from any of the rooms ?

Also if I buy my tickets elsewhere, do we still quailfy for FOTL ?

Much appreciate any advise

Thanks

if you are staying on site, the FOTL perk is yours for free.

tickets have nothing to do with that perk.

all guests at all 3 hotels get the fotl perk just for staying at the on site hotels.

if you book to stay at hrh, a standard room is the garden, boat dock view.
the pool view is priced higher.
you can request a floor level but it is not always guarenteed.
same goes for room number.

i generally book and request by phone a certain floor level with a park view near the elevator.

if you are not planning to spend much time in your room, i would not pay the higher price for a pool view.
the hotel can always do a free upgrade from garden view to pool view when you check in. it depends on who checks you in and if any of those rooms are available at the time you are there.

when are you planning to go?
fireworks are only at specific times of the year.

Hi thanks for that info, we are going week of Easter

Doing 2 nights in Miami first, then 5 nights in Orlando, no I highly doubt we will be in our room much, with Universal and Nasa on the agenda

The HRH at moment are offering 5 night for price of 3, does not include tickets but when I buy them seperate it still works out cheaper, my husband was just worried we'd miss out on any of the perks, glad you cleared that up for me

Thanks

very good thing you are staying on site.
Easter week can have its crowds.

you will be doing :worship: for the fotl perk!

another perk of staying on site:

free bus shuttle to Seaworld and Wet and Wild.
front desk or star service/on your phone/ can give you the departure times.
for easter week, i would not know that schedule.
in slower times there are 2 departures from the hotel and 2 return times back to the hotel.

also another perk:
for $10 a person rt, bus from your hotel to Busch Gardens in Tampa.

This is good to know since this summer we might head to Bush GArdens for a day and might not drive our car over.

i really enjoyed staying at hrh in september. i just had a couple of friends from tampa come and visit for a girl's weekend. we stayed for two nights. the pool is awesome. we were able to chill at the pool, listen to music, and even watch a movie while in the pool. i know there used to be a promotion that if you stayed for at least 4 nights, you received two seven-day/two-park tickets for free. it was called the stay for four, play for free package. i don't know if it's still available. you can always check. the shuttle service and boat taxis are awesome. you do have to pay $15 per night for parking though. the unlimited express passes are also great. i'm a tm for universal and it was absolutely wonderful to get to go through the express queue with my friends. i never get to do that with them. hope this helps.
