We are UK based members who due to illness in the family are not able to use our points this year.

We have extensive points (1400) made up as follows :-

This Years Points : 950
Banked Points : 450

Our points are December use year.

We have never traded points. We were not actually aware we could do it and lost 225 points last year that we didn't use in time.

Having not traded points before and being on the other side of the Atlantic makes this doubly difficult.

I have a paypal account into which we can recieve dollar payments.

The questions I have are :

Can we transfer more than once . ie if people want to purchase small quantities of points. Will this be allowed by member services?

What are the normal terms of payment used for booking a vacation from our banked points?

Any guidance would be much appreciated. When we are clear we can put our points up for trade.

You can email me at mark.randle@btclick.com

Thanks

I think you are talking about three different things.
You can rent your points on the rent/trade board. This would mean you make a reservation for someone and they pay you by check or by using paypal.
You could transfer your points to another DVC member and they can make their own reservation. You can make as many transfers as you want as long as they are either all out or all in. The DVC member could pay you by check or by using paypal.
You could trade reservations with another DVC member. This seems the hardest to work out but you post what you have and what you are looking for.
Terms can be whatever you can both agree on but something like 10% shortly after booking with balance due 45 days before starting date.
Hope this helps a bit!

Don't forget, you can also BANK your points so you don't lose them!!!

I think all you need to do, is post on the rent/trade board that you have points available... Ask for paypal payments since that's what you have available to you... I've rented our points entirely through email transactions... just state your terms very clearly... when the money is due, how much is due & your cancellation policy.... just get it all in writing through email & you'll be fine...
