Advice Wanted- Oct or Nov 2021 Trip?

I would avoid Columbus Day, which is Oct 11 in 2021, plus the week before and after it. We used to go during that time every year but NO MORE!!! Fall breaks have become much more common. With every passing year our trips became more and more crowded (45 min wait for Peoplemover crowded... Line for Figment looping outside crowded... 10/10 on Touring Plans crowded).

I took a solo trip late Oct 2019 and found the crowds better. It was still HOT though!
We’ve noticed the same thing with crowds around Columbus Day at DL. When we first stared going in 2008 it was amazing . In 2018 we went at Easter and the crowds were actually the same or less then Columbus Day weekend 😳 It’s helpful to know that WDW has been similar for that timeframe. When we were last at WDW in 2012 it was last week of Sept and first week of Oct as I tried for a quieter time of year. I loved the heat and humidity but my husband and daughter not so much lol! Is it still fairly humid and hot end of Oct / November? Is there any weeks that are quieter than others? I’ve read different opinions on how busy last week of Oct/ first few weeks of November are...

Thank you every one, it’s all great advice! Still torn as to which dates to choose 😂. We usually build a haunted house in our garage and have a big Halloween display in the yard every year. COVID prevented us from having anything but the yard display this year. To skip the whole thing and not be here for Halloween would have been unthinkable before this year lol but I do like the thought of being able to enjoy both seasons at the parks...

For reference I was there Oct 26-30, 2019 and it was very hot and humid. I just looked up the historical weather for a few of those days and the high was 91F with 90-something percent humidity. I recall looking at all the people using umbrellas for shade and was so sorry I didn't bring one! I am sure the weather varies from year to year. The crowds were much, much better in my opinion, than Columbus Day crowds. I would go back at that time of year, for sure.

Edit to add: I probably noticed the heat because I spent a lot of time in the sun waiting for Hanson concerts at Epcot that trip. ;)

We went to Disney this past October for 10 days. We arrived the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend. The weekends definitely felt much more crowded, but it was fine during the weekdays.

My sister and I want to plan a trip for the end of October into November to see the change from halloween to Christmas. I know we can’t predict 2021, but if the holiday after hour parties return, how quick is it normally for the first MVMCP following the last MNSSHP?

If it were me, I'd go with Nov.6-20. Nothing beats being there with the Christmas Decorations up during a lower crowd time :)
