Advice regarding banking

Sadly I canceled our October trip, so I need to start planning our next one! We’re looking at early June 2021, allowing me to book in the next week or so. We have a June Use Year. Should I bank this year’s points first? I was initially going to wait until January, just in case we get a vaccine earlier rather than later and we’d feel comfortable squeezing in a getaway before the end of May. However, if I don’t bank my points prior to making the June 2021 reservation I’ll be using next year’s points, right? Would MS swap the points later, so I can bank next year’s points later if I so choose? Advice appreciated!

If you want to book before banking, you can do that it would take the 2020 UY points.

If you decided later to bank because you don’t use them, you can then have the banked points Reallocated into the June trip.

You will be able to do it online yourself after you bank by simply modifying the reservation without changing anything and it will pick up your bsnked points,

I’m so confused! The reservation would automatically use my 2020 points for a June 2021 reservation? How do they know I wouldn’t want to use the 2020 points for a different trip in the 2020 use year? My 2021 points kick in June 1, 2021. I never had this issue before. I’m typically use up all my points every year.

My error. I was thinking the points were 2019! If you book June 2021 and have not banked, then yes, it will take your 2021 points.

Then if you bank the 2020 because you decide not to use, then you can swap,
