I'm looking, been to most of the shops :scared1::scared1:

I'm wanting to upgrade my tv current 37"

I'm bamboozled with, LED, then LCD/LED backlight, then plasma and ontop of that 3d.

Has anyone recently purchased a tv who cud give review. My head is battered

Plasma tends to be cheaper than LCD but it can be a bit of a pain to transport as you can't tilt it or the gas inside can go funny.

We bought a new one on Boxing Day in the sales - got a LG 42" LCD and love it.

Plasma ones tend to only be the really big ones - 42" and above I think and work out cheaper than the equivalent sized LCD etc but don't have as long a life as LCD/LED.

LCD is probably classed as your standard TV these days. LED are more expensive than LCD and I was told are better if you tend to watch more films or game a lot on the TV.

Hope this helps.

Plasmas tend to cost more to run & have a much sorter shelf life then LCD's. My aunt works for an electrical shop & says some Plasmas only last 5 years
