Am I supposed to order the Nile a size smaller like the other models? I can't find any information on this. Does anyone know how they run and if I should order my true size or not? I'm a 9.
TIA all! :)

Hi! I'm a size 9 too and I bought the Nile in a 9 and it fits good. I also tried on the Beach style in Medium (8-9) and my big toe hit the front so I would have to go up a size if I bought that. I'm waiting to find the Cayman so I can try it on. On Saturday, I found a store that carries the Athens flip flops and the 9 was way too big. The 8 fit fine.

If you can find someplace that carries them, it's best to try them on, because depending on the style, I would wear an 8, 9, or 10.

Good luck!

Do you like the Nile? I ordered a size 8 which is the size I wear in other shoes. They just shipped today. I've been desperately trying to find a super comfortable pair of sandals for our trip in May with no luck yet so I finally broke down and ordered the Nile Crocs (thought they would look better with shorts). I'm a little concerned because I read another post after I ordered them from someone who sent them back because they said they were too ugly! I hope this style is as comfortable as everyone says the beach and caymen Crocs are. This will be my first pair of Crocs. :woohoo:

Pugrpooh: I was going to buy the Athens online because no stores around me sell them. They run big? I am usually and 8.5; do you think the 8 would do?
I appreciate the input! :)

Nana4jhma -- The Nile's alright; they do look better on the computer though. I haven't worn them for any length of time (it's been too cold here for sandals). I showed them to my mom yesterday, and she thought they were cute and was going to go get some since she's going to WDW with us. They are on clearance at a store here for $20. I have worn Birkenstock sandals for 5 years because of plantar fasciitis and yes, they are expensive, but it was the best money I ever spent on shoes.

The Nile doesn't have the arch support and the deep heel cup that the Birki's do, but Crocs are supposed to mold to your feet (as are Birki's) and I will reserve judgment until I wear them for an extended period of time. We leave Friday for WDW :cheer2: and I'm taking the Nile, but will probably use them at the pool only.

Blujaymama -- I would definitely not get the 9 if I were you. They were so big on me that I would not have been able to keep them on my feet while walking. I wear a 9 narrow, and I wear an 8 in Birkenstocks and I also have a couple of other pairs of shoes that are an 8. An 8 might work for you, especially if you don't have a narrow foot.

Hope they work for y'all! :)

I agree about going down a size when ordering them..... I purchased my Nile's a couple weeks ago w/o ever trying them on. I usually take 8 1/2 or 9's... but I was VERY happy I ordered the Nile's in Size 8.

They're tight enough to stay on my foot and have no problems stepping out of them. But I'd certainly not trust them to stay on during some rides (like Soarin).

Next WDW trip isn't till Sept, but I think they'll be great walking around down there :)

I have found the opposite to be true as far as the sizing. I normally wear a 9 or 10 depending on the shoe, so I ordered size 10 Niles. They fit ok, but the rivets on them are really bothering me. I think I'm going to put a piece of moleskin over the rivets and see if that helps. Has anyone else had a problem with their rivets hurting?

My dd wears a size 11 normally (bless her heart-she's only 13). I ordered the Athens for her in size 11 and they fit perfect.

I've read before that the Crocs are made in 3 different places (I think), so maybe that could account for the differences we are experiencing with the sizing.

Just received my Niles today in khaki color. I wear a size 8 which is what I ordered in these Crocs and they fit just right. I've been wearing them around the house for a couple of hours now and they are very comfortable so far. Pugrpooh was right about them not having the arch support. I'll post again after our trip in May about how comfortable they are to walk in all day!
