I still have about a month until I can make ADRs, but I'm trying to put together my initial (loose) plan on which days we will be where...have just a few questions for you pros.
Our dates are Oct. 29 - Nov. 5, and we (me, my husband, and our two boys) will have 5-day hoppers - hoping to get extra park time by buying tix to MNSSHP, unless they cost a billion dollars and then we will do Halloween activities at the resorts instead. Here's what I'm thinking:
Sat., Oct. 29 - check in at AKL, do DS and explore resort
Sun. - RD at MK (party day, so we will have to be out at 7)
Mon., Oct. 31 - swim at resort, then do MNSSHP if we get tix
Tues. - sleep in, then Epcot
Wed. - AK
Thurs. - HS
Fri. - Epcot until 4 or 5, then hop to MK to hopefully see wishes, do last rides, etc.
Sat. - check out of AKL, possibly do some resort-hopping before driving home
I am trying not to concern myself too much with EMH since so much has been changing with Disney schedules, but my hope is we will be able to hop in the evenings if we want to make use of them (right now MK is scheduled to have them Wed.)...the only day we currently have scheduled AT an EMH park is Epcot on Tuesday (evening) - and that kind of works because we will be getting a late start that day after MNSSHP.
My main question is - should we keep our first park day at MK, even though it is a party day there? Will crowds be bad because it's the weekend? And will it get too awful at 4-7 with party people? An alternative would be to do HS our first day and make use of the early EMH there, BUT that would make our first MK experience the MNSSHP...I thought it might be good to have a "lay of the land" before we do the party? Or does that not matter?
This is our first trip, so we don't really know what to expect or how long our boys (11 and 6) will be able to go each day, but they are pretty high-energy. We are not morning people, so with the exception of our very first day, I think we are more likely to get a late start and stay til close.
Thanks a bunch!
