Advice on Where to Add-On

We are thinking of doing a small add-on. We own 170 at BWV if we add on there we would round up to 200. Also considering BC or AKV. If at either of these we would add-on 50. We loved AKL when we stayed there, but since then we have only stayed at the BWV/BWI. We so love the local esp. since we gon in the fall during F&W.

We are thinking it might be nice to have a better pool options esp. if we take a second trip in May when it can be warmer? Any suggestions? Would it be worth getting a sm. contract at a second resort or would we get more mileage out of more BWV pts and just booking at the 7 mth window?

Because Epcot's Flower and Garden show is in May, we try to stay at BCV then, both for the pool and convenience to Epcot. We don't own at BCV, but at BWV, and so far, we've been able to transfer our May visits to BCV.

We bought a 100 point add on at AKV because I, more than DH, love animals and the resort itself, as it is...the new building with the nice pool/water area will "do it" for our family. For us, it has taken our "need" to own BCV away.

170 points gets you what? 5 or 6 days in a 1 and 2 bedroom at BWV? Another 30 points is only going to get you a couple nights in a studio in May or one night in a 1 & 2 bedroom. Hardly seems worth it.

50 points at AKV will give you 3-4 nights in a studio or two nights in a 1 bedroom (2 bed if you do a value) in May. Now that seems more like it.

The 30 points aren't gonna go very far outside studios. I think I'd go for the 50 at AKV. Why? Because the proposals for that new pool area should be as cool or better than SAB. And since May can be a very warm month, I think I'd enjoy the African environs much better. It would seem to fit better. And I think I can get more nights with 50 points than 30.

I've been sorely tempted to do a small add-on at AKV. 50-60 points only though. My idea is to have enough for a 3 night stay as a trip add-on. May and October are both good times to me. With 3 nights, I can have a check-in day, resort day, and AK park day. That's a nice retreat.

Everyone has thier own reasoning for where to add on and its all subjective.

IMHO..Had I added 100 pts at another resort, I'd still need to wait till the 7th month to merge pts. for a larger unit, additional days..etc.
So..I rather like having "all my eggs in 1 basket", 1 contract to manage, make ressies once..etc.
My thinking also is that I can make 7 mo. advance plans, so, to get OKW, SSR, BWV, VWL hasn't been and don't see AKV being a problem either.
